Importers and freight brokers across Nigeria are voicing strong opposition to the Nigeria Customs Service’s latest increase in clearing fees, warning that the move will further strain the economy and push up the cost of goods.

The benefits of removing subsidy. Subsidy transferred the wealth to the populace. Removing the subsidy means the populace will pay all the bills.

Removing subsidy does not remove the bills Nigeria has , it just changes who pays it.

The only focus to raise funds for the government is always the port. It is so annoying. 4 years ago you can clear a 2007 Sienna for 550k, fast forward to today you need almost 3M to clear same that is even with a compromised value. It’s really sad honestly.
