vanbonattel:DSS will do its job to keep criminals away and stop aboteurs of national security. Irresponsible parents will not have it easy too. Recruiting young minds to do crime will no longer be tolerated. Politics is not a crime. Holding a dissenting opinion in politics is not a crime. Your blackmail will not work sir.a |

FreeStuffsNG:Peter Obi did it when he was governor even going as far as demolishing properties of any accomplice to kidnapping and guess what, kidnapping reduced that even the IGP then accorded Anambra as the safest then. But guess what, people like you tried to spin it against him now because of elections. |

Benniemannz:This is all sponsored. You need to understand how journalists use sensational reporting to spin a narrative. This same places that has since been raided and the kidnappers fleeing to other places. |

Shameless Newspaper. Punch Newspaper is anti-igbo and a dirty propaganda news outlet. Everytime their obsession with Igbo land is becoming very sickening. Why can't they do an extensive research on the ritual killings in the SW, or the deplorable living and squalor based shanties in the SW, or the fact that some communities have been sacked by herdsmen and are now in Benin Republic as refugees? This is a shameless region .with a shameless Newspaper. Punch newspaper is trash. ![]() |

FreeStuffsNG:Why then is DSS not doing its work? A journalist recently criticized a governor for not doing his job but his employer was intimidated by the governor and he was sacked. When governors and the DSS are more interested in fighting critics, which work do you want them to do? |

This is the only legacy left by that evil late Buhari in the once peaceful east. These separatists were only unarmed protesters until the Buhari unleashed his military on them, killing them simply for protesting. That bestial act now propelled them to arms and here we are today. What Buhari planned against them is what is still plaguing the north today. Peace |

There's violent insecurity in all honesty, but it is currently largely government sponsored and the aim is simply to decimate the voting strength and numbers in the South East come 2027. The ruling party flatly acknowledges that region to be Obi's stronghold, so since they can't command reasonable votes there, it's best to just play the spoiler for the other man. Classic extract from the APC 2014 playbook. And APC governors in that region are helping by simply turning a blind eye to solutions. |

Believeintruth:Well, I don't doubt you and i do understand how the powers that be manipulates the media all round to feed their intentions, promote fear and hold control. But how do we know these other places they have fled to are not currently experiencing the same chaos and mayhem? Chasing them away can't be enough. The best solution is to cut the head of this thing off once and for all. Wahala too much àbeg |

Insecurity is bad and all efforts to call attention of the government to it should be encouraged. it does not matter, whether it be South West, North or South East, it does not matter. You tribalised this by even mentioning the sit @ home. Before the sit @ home, your security agencies were killing Youths and tagging them UGM right or wrong? Nobody is senseless to the shenanigans of your cohorts. In Lagos as you speak .you dare not have a broken down vehicle in any location. You will definitely be robbed and in some cases killed and your body parts distributed by ritualists. Why has PUNCH newspaper refused to rant about it. What is the fixation of Yoruba press and it's people on Igbo affairs? That is the pertinent question ![]() Lifestone: |

The write up is overly exaggerated. The incessant use of South East instead of the name of the specific communities where the alleged trouble makers are is disgusting, irritating and intentional. It is a deliberate failed attempt to paint the whole south east with one brush. South east though could have some pockets of security, Issues is not as maliciously narrated by the writer of this piece. One who is descerning enough will easily know where this whole cruel narrative is emanating from. |

This is over exaggerated. Yes there are a handful of unscrupulous Igbo youths perpetrating evil and crime in some communities in Orlu, Ihiala and Okigwe mostly, but most of them have been eliminated, chased out and now operating from unknown forests on a hit-and-run style. They are no longer many and powerful as before. Their era is gradually coming to a tragic end. I know the aim of this post is to demarket Peter Obi that defeated Bola Tinubu in 2023 Presidential election. But the same Southwest people opening eyes and mouth over this small boys that are not up to 50 in number supported Buhari a radical Fulani man for 8 years despite the thousands of atrocities Fulani herdsmen terrorists carried out all over Nigeria including in Yoruba communities, ire oh |

esnbrutality:Fulani herdsmen militants have taken over Ondo communities and rural areas, adopt and eliminate Ondo farmers as they please. Many communities in Ondo state have been deserted as Yoruba indigenes fled to neighboring communities in Osun, some to Ibadan, Lagos, etc. Their Lagos-Ibadan expressway media won't report this shameful situation happening under a Yoruba President with Chief of army staff, IG of Police, DSS DG, Customs Controller, EFCC Chairman all Yorubas. It is what few unscrupulous Igbo youths that are not up to 50 in number are doing in mostly 3 or 4 communities in Imo and Anambra states that they are calling entire Southeast. May God have mercy on the haters of Ndigbo, amen |
