Do they know that Iron Smelting - the technology responsible for the modern world we enjoy today, was invented in Lejja, near Nsukka over 4,000 years ago?

Do they know that we manufactured glass and exported manufactured soap to Europe before the colonialists invaded?

Do they know that the Benin Empire built a wall that was 4 times longer than the Great Wall of China?

Do they know that Benin City had streetlights and underground drainage 300 years before London?

Do they know that Yoruba binary mathematics, with its 256 elements is the root of modern computing, with its 256 codes?

If you want to know your pre-colonial history, you need to READ and RESEARCH it.

You know nothing about what anybody talks about, including me. You simply came across this topic, and you can't stand it, because it depicts ancient Africans in a light you have been taught did not exist.

It is self-loathing to read the illustrious history of your ancestors, and be hostile to it, whether such history was made in Africa or in Alaska or in China.

Who told you they didn’t practice native spirituality? There was always an incorporation of the native dimension. It wasn’t shunned.

The reason they adopted Islam was that after the loss of Kemet (or Egypt) to Arab invaders in the 7th century the trans-Saharan trade became dependent on having good relations with the fanatical Arab Islamists and nomads of the north, who would attack or block caravans from non-Muslim kings etc.

So it was economic.

In no way does that deviate from their indigenous knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, law, ethics, metallurgy, philosophy, architecture, medicine and the sciences, which Enriched Islam, since African knowledge in those areas predated Islam by over 150,000 years.

We are talking about Black Africans.

Nobody said they are your direct ancestors.

Do you know you share DNA with them, even though they are “Muslims”?

In fact how do you know your distant ancestors did not migrate from Mali or Sudan?

Do you know Africans travelled around the continent and beyond, before the colonial era?

Truth is until you do an ancestral DNA test, you’ve no idea where your ancestors really came from.

They could have migrated from Congo or the Songhai empire to the north, of which north east Nigeria was a part, and hence contributed to the Moorish population which civilised Europe.

So it’s more than possible that you are descended from the Moors.

Africans established the first empires in Asia. China, India, etc. The evidence is still there. The Mogao caves in China show paintings of ancient black settlers, rulers and priests. They even built pyramids in China.
