I really really fear what will happen to Pentecostal denominations when's the likes of papa adeboye, kumuyi and co are gone.

The rate at which younger pastors are so worried about whoever succeeds them is very alarming, God will choose a successor, I just hope the pastors there when these people go will allow the holy spirit have his way.God will reveal who will succeed.

Some of them are not even happy with the doctrine, they want to be permitting orishirishi before you know now pastors will start plaiting hair on the pulpit.

I don't understand why they want to force him to step down or announce a successor, Good thing Baba came out harsh, I like it.

Lots of these people are just after the fame.

First, this man relocated to the US to enjoy life (or to manage a serious health condition as some people are whispering) after spoon-feeding his church members with doctrines of wretchedness for decades ..telling them watching TV or even listening to radio is a sin

Now he is saying they should not pressure him to hand over to a successor...Senior man, after more than 50 years of leading the Church, isn't it an indictment on your leadership if you haven't groomed people worthy enough to take over the mantle? ..

Is he waiting to suddenly drop dead and by so doing, foist a leadership war that can break the church?...Or he thinks he can't suddenly die? ...Isn't it far wiser to settle any succession issues while alive than plunge the church into disarray upon his demise?

What I have learnt from this is that at the very core, human beings are the same, no matter how religious we claim to be...

In anything you are the head of, you can start naming your own successor too.

The Catholics never have this problem and have existed for more than 2000 years.

I doubt any Pentecostal church will survive more than 100 years after the founder is gone.

Don't you think it would have better for them to step aside, while they are still alive and oversee their successors for few years, before they go back to their creators? Within few years they step aside, any crises that might come up, they can intervene and use their influence to douse than the animosity. But when they gone, if animosity comes up, thre is high tendency it might bring the church to his knees.
