So, I saw this thread on X formerly Twitter where Nigerians from all over the country are expressing their happiness over the improved power supply in the country. Most people claimed they have abandoned their generators as a result of constant supply of electricity. This indeed is what sharing. We may not be there yet but we must acknowledge the improvement we are witnessing. Kudos to the Minister of power and everyone involved in the electricity sector from generation to final distribution to our homes and businesses. https://x.com/fimiletoks/status/1954448006113034247?s=46

Firebox123:Maybe your area is an exception. But for a lot of Nigerians, the reality is that power has improved considerably. You can see screenshots of people from Lagos, Abuja, Gusau, Jos, Ibadan, Ilorin etc all over the thread and they are all saying the same thing. |

Firebox123:What has this got to do with Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid? See, those are Nigerians like you who are simply narrating their reality. You can go on the thread and engage them. You can’t stop people from expressing their reality simply because you don’t like Mr. President. |

Which kind lie be this.. From time memorial there are always some selected places with enough power supply especially those on 33kva but are in the minority, they are also the ones found on band A mostly.. The largest percentage of people around 80 to 90% are on 11kva and these are the people with 5hr, 2hrs, 0hrs and some 7 to 10hrs give or take.. The locations get rotated depending on lobbying of the people in the area.. Some area on 33kva could get swapped to 11kva and some on 11kva could negotiate their way into 33kva..however there are locality that are new with few households around and major power lines passing through them, these people always have constant light reason why you ton villages there will be light.. Also light gets better during raining season and this is fact from history..Enough of silly propaganda all to whitewash failures.. There is no improvement anywhere |

Firebox123:Bro, you are wrong and will remain in darkness if you think the testimony of many Nigerians can somehow be a conspiracy "to promote tinubu reelection in 2027". kindly petition your local DISCO office to find out if there may be a generation issue related to infrastructure. OP is entirely correct because majority can testify to the work of Adelabu, Minister of power, per vastly improved and never before seen (at least in my lifetime) constant power supply mainly aided by much improved efficiency in the distribution end that higher tariffs introduced have more than justified. I live in Lekki phase 1 and dabble in property development across the Island up to Ajah and Sangotedo which are tending towards Epe. We have had steady power supply in my residence for like three to four months now with stretches of even four to five days of constant power. Same extends to areas across the Island I have property development interests in. I don't have to reveal the above but do so to challenge others to fact check and discredit me if I lie and your sort are correct trying to insinuate the situation in your area is general across Nigeria. It is by being real we can change Nigeria for better and not with lies or pursuit of hidden agendas. Many ordinary Nigerians have no interest interest in fooling anyone because of any 2027 political agenda. Residential and business power users are just happy to confirm they are getting constant power supply that is aiding them to make progress. Politicians come and go whereas progress is what upright Nigerians should seek always and should be duty-bound to confirm when they experience it. Again, if you really want steady power others are enjoying, then get in touch with your power DISCO to understand if there is an issue you can lobby your LGA chairman or legislature to look into. That is their job. Your situation, assuming you are even telling the truth, is abnormal for the much improved current state of affairs many Nigerians are now enjoying. Begin by doing something about it rather than think all others are in your shoes or working for Tinubu's re-election. |

maiunguwar:We know a part of Abia state is experiencing improved power supply as a result of the private power generating company. You can tell your experience in Anambra if you live in the state. |

Max24:God bless you. Precisely same thing I stated to another poster above . Some are determined to ensure, even if with lies, Nigerians hate everything about the PBAT government and reject everything about it to include never-before-seen success all progressive Nigerians , even if they hate Tinubu, should admit. Demand he should name his precise State, Street and LGA. We are living in an information age and some of us can quickly establish if he is lying or not by finding out the problem, that may be peculiar to his area, preventing the constant power many are now experiencing. The problem is that many prejudiced, hateful and bitter Nigerian,, with an axe to grind against the current government that has nothing to do with performance, like to drag us all into the mud of insult and conjecture so that the true picture is blurred and the narrative they wish to sell then wins to skew popular opinion. Let's stick to fact and investigative research as learned men and women. You have a power issue? Then name your state, street name and even LGA so we can investigate up to the level of emailing your legislator and LGA Chairman. Nigeria is not developing because followers spend ages on redundant gossip and conjectures instead of subjecting most issues to the test of scientific and factual validations Many citizens, in civilised clime, would even assign members of blogs and online discussion forums to contact authoritative leaders in politics and public administration so that those genuinely interest in societal progress have definitive answers that defeats the agenda of compromised saboteurs seeking to lie and prop up the image of underperforming government and also discredit those who wish to evilly deny the good the government in power is factually delivering. |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by WizardOfNG: 12:25pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
seunmsg:Simple as that. Name your State, Local Government and Street. All this vague 'dem say dem say' is tiring. What are we all educated for if we wish to sit here for hours indulging in conjectures when citizens of developed nations will simply use precise info others supply to validate the precise situation of things? Is it just to make nebulous claim of "my area" without precise identification to back a narrative the government is succeeding or failing in the power sector? Honestly, Nigerian human resources can frustrate immensely because the way they are wired makes them the greatest enemies of one another. |

Firebox123:A lot of Nigerians are now experiencing relatively constant power supply. Any one trying to argue against this is just trying to deny what is obvious. |

SalamRushdie:Here we go again. When it is bad, blame Tinubu and his government irrespective of the prevailing situation. When it is good, find 1001 reasons not to give government the credit. The level of dishonesty of some of you Obi supporters is incredible. |

Few locations cannot be classified as nationwide. We get 12hrs light in most non-GRA areas in Effurun plus one off day after every two days. |

seunmsg:I agree the power improved but it also has to do with the constant raining, Nigerians dont know how power stations operate, The more the down pour the more power a dam would produce electricity. |

I have been briefly staying in Ayobo part of Ipaja in the past one month and I swear before man and God, they rarely ever have more than 5 minutes outages in a day. We've gone a week without power outage and if it eventually happens, it's just within a snap. Power supply is average in Magodo though, might move totally from there soon. |
