seunmsg:power has improved in Lagos not all of Nigeria. I stay in Oyo state, and the light here is beyond comatose. |

seunmsg:Power has improved where? The problem with Tinubu supporters is that they politicize everything. Electricity supply nationwide is still epileptic. Ask people and they would tell you. |

hegelian:don't mind paid propagandist. Light improved in Lagos Band A, they term it all of Nigeria. Once the raining season is over we will reset back to zero light. Power was even way better under Buhari than what we have now. If you're not in Lagos, then consider your light very poor. |

Mandate1:So all the posters testifying to improved power supply live in a different Nigeria from you, that they cannot tell the difference between rainy season surge and genuine power improvements? You think you are the only person with sense In Nigeria? |

Firebox123:Bro, I read a broadcast from TCN informing the public that a transformer caught fire at Egbin power station. Reason for the blackout and intermittent supply in Ikorodu areas. |

WizardOfNG:pls don't call those testimonies that of Nigerians. Nigeria has 36 states and the FCT. You don't base your analysis or assumption on just Lagos and Abuja. 90% of those that commented are based in Lagos. People living in other states can't say same about power improvement. |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by Kemetian: 4:27pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
The sad thing about this is that many Nairalanders who are enjoying improved power supply refuse to say a word, or worse, lie about having no light, due to political affiliation. It’s unfortunate. |

Kemetian:did you see the location they are all posting from? Egbeda, Ayobo etc. All these are locations in Lagos. What is Nigeria's current generating capacity? Majority of the places in Lagos were migrated to band A, hence the increased light. For every improved light you see in Lagos, an area in Band C to E is paying dearly for it. |

seunmsg:What reality, please? It seems Nigerians truly have short memories. You people only sing one chorus: “Light has improved,” “How’s the power situation in your area?” and the ever-famous “Buhari’s body language.” And conveniently, these praises usually come between May and November; the rainy season when hydro power systems are naturally working better. But as soon as December to April rolls in, we’re fed the same tired excuses: vandalism, sabotage, technical faults, and every story in the book. The question I still don’t have an answer to is, who exactly do us like this? |

WizardOfNG:What really, please? It seems Nigerians truly have short memories. You people only sing one chorus: “Light has improved,” “How’s the power situation in your area?” and the ever-famous “Buhari’s body language.” And conveniently, these praises usually come between May and November; the rainy season when hydro power systems are naturally working better. But as soon as December to April rolls in, we’re fed the same tired excuses: vandalism, sabotage, technical faults, and every story in the book. The question I still don’t have an answer to is, who exactly do us like this? I hope you can come back by January to repeat this statement. |

Improved power supply nationwide Yet Emeka Ofor and EEDC have thrown Enugu state into darkness! This one is Igbo killing his own Igbo brothers o, making me to wonder if it wouldn't have been better to sell EEDC to a non-Igbo entrepreneur! This is how Emeka Ofor uses his connection to ASO rock and their Ogboni cult to squander and corner federal benefits due for the southeast! Federal government should please stop giving contracts for projects in Igboland to Emeka Ofor! That man has killed the region for his selfish interests! Enough is enough! |

Funny how same thing happens every year but people still dont realise the trend. Its the peak of of the rainy season,l when the weather is coolest. Power demand drops drastically so there's less load shedding and this translates to more power. |

Let people continue to day dream. What's total ouptutof electricity in the country for now and the output 8 years ago. Don't deceive yourself Sir/Ma, those areas that were enjoying light before now have been short changed to either have 3 hours or none per day and those areas that had none or 3 hours before are given more as per hour of electricity consumption. Light has not improved kobo. I also know of some places here in Ikorodu that since 15 years ago till now , they hardly enjoyed 4 hours of light at interval of 2 or 3 days. How much has this government been able to generate as per electricity concern? |

This is the normal rainy season bump caused by three things at the generation, transmission and distribution levels. Improved hydro electricity supply, reduced demand from air conditioners loads ( haven't needed ac for weeks now) and most of all supply interruptions due to storms, rains and flooding. Lines, poles and transformers are often affected. This is the busiest season for distribution companies maintenance and will be one of reduced revenues. |

obailala:Indeed. The best time to assess power stability is when folks retum to cities from the seasonal year end holidays up until the rains start mid April. That is peak demand season. |

ninetiethcrown7:Nobody is giving false information That's the fact Hydroelectric contribution to Nigeria's power is more than 20%. Most of the gas powered plants suffer from stability issues based on gas supply which is why the hydro come in handy to stabilize power during the rainy season |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by Kukutente23: 6:14pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
Kemetian:Why are clowns claiming improved power as if it happens out of the blue Has Nigeria's generating capacity increased from 2013 figures? Has our transmission network being upgraded from 2009 levels What about distribution? Has there been any major overhaul or upgrade? Do what logic are you sycophants basing your improved power supply on? Maybe Tinubu's big gramnar |
