Cheapest City To Live In Nigeria by Emeraldicon(op):
Hi, I need some help figuring out Something bothering me.

Due to the economy, I have to relocate and I’m looking for a place in Nigeria that’s very affordable in terms of rent and general cost of living. On top of my top priorities is reliable electricity and good network connectivity.

My budget is ₦800,000 or less for 2 bedroom apartment. So I need just something decent.

So far, the options I’m considering include:

Outskirt of Abuja

Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Enugu, Enugu State

Port Harcourt , Rivers State

Calabar- Cross River state

If you have any suggestions, insights, or recommendations about these places—or anywhere else that might fit my criteria—I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks so much for your help.

Enugu tick all the boxes but you have to up your budget for 2 bedroom apartment if you want to stay around town that meets your requirements. Budget 1.5M for 2 bedroom or 1M for 1 bedroom. If you cannot up your Budget, then consider Uyo, Akwa Ibom but I really don’t know of constant electricity on Uyo But everywhere in Enugu enjoys at least 22hrs electricity daily.

Thanks but 1.5M for two bedroom is too much for me. I appreciate your time.

I look forward to staying in Akwaibom someday if I must settle again in Nigeria. So peaceful, and about electricity, no place is sure on that in Naija. If you have what it takes, just install solar and have peace of mind.
Akwaibom
Calabar
Ibadan
Enugu
