Kukutente23:Yes na ozuor . You are very right, Power supply seems to improve since it hasn’t rained in Nigeria in the last 18 years and because rain started falling in Nigeria in 2025. Nigeria discovered a huge deposit of rain in February 2025 and that’s why their power generation and distribution seems to improve significantly in some areas compared to how it used to be. Arindin Hate is not good for your sanity and health. Who knack una this jazz? |

ceejay80s:The information age rubbishes your "raining season" talk as an ignorant and thoroughly discredited lie. The power supply improvement is permanent. I can verify this from using Lagos Island where power was steady last year in October throughout very dry December and then January to February. How many, going by the thousands confirming improvement in power on Nairaland and different online blogs, are they bribing with XP laptop to come and "say rubbish online"? Saying that alone reveals what you are. It is even a show of ignorance , from you and some making same "rainy season" excuse, to suggest dam electrification is the mainstay of Nigerian power supply whereas it is actually 12-17% while gas-powered plants account for 86%. Sew below. See also confirmation that gas-powered electrification accounts for majority of power supply in the South , meaning hydropower is "not the primary source of power supply for the region". How does it then make sense , even if you are completely uneducated, "rainy season" is pivotally impactful over signoficantly improved power supply in the south many are confirming here? Your talk reveals you are, for whatever reason/s, an enemy of Nigeria's progress.

SalamRushdie:Lol. We beg you lot to think before you talk rather than speak to then remove all doubt you are enemies of Nigeria's progress who will never be happy to acknowledge any progress she makes as long as such is not under your own kinsman. It has always been so with you guys. How much of Nigeria's electricity supply do you think comes from hydropower? 90%? And how much of that hydropower do you believe supplies the Southern region of Nigeria that most giving testimony here are from? 100%? Hope you are educated enough to understand what is shown below discredits your "rainy season" garbage. Abi you wish to argue with facts? This is not the nineties , when access to the net and information was poor, and you can tell preposterous lies you then get away with to assist your mission of warping the narrative.

Wickedlywicked:We have told them this countless times yet they fail to see how hate compromises their thinking and talk to leave them appearing as enemies of Nigeria's progress their fraudulent arguments confirm they are. They will tell tell you power supply cannot improve without increased generation since Nigeria needs 300 million megawatts while she produces only 1.5 Megawatts. Yet what they ignorantly miss, because demarketing Nigeria and the government in power is their primary agenda, is that power generation is not the only consideration in getting power into residential and business properties . There is distribution and transmission of power also which were very inefficient and ensuring, before PBAT came on board, that what we generated was not reaching end users efficiently. It is mainly at the distribution end Adelabu, Minister of power, has recorded good success. For example, distribution companies were sold to private firms under GEJ. Meaning those DISCOs must operate profitably. They could not do that under the hands-off and welfarist outlook of GEJ and Buhari whereby most Nigerians want power they do not wish to pay an adequate amount for given how expensive the entire chain of power supply is. Adelabu simply realised DISCOs had to be incentivised to perform better by allowing them make more profit. This is why we had tariffs hike that means DISCOs received more money to run their operation and increase efficiency/profit. Naturally, they are performing better. Not rocket science. There are other technical issues Adelabu has done well to improve upon leading to the improved power Nigerians are enjoying now. Suffice to say anyone making the lame argument that Nigeria needs to generate this or than amount to experience improved power is grossly ignorant because what we were generating was not been distributed efficiently to begin. Meaning that is an area of gain a competent power Minister can improve to provide better power supply for Nigeria while other policies and measures, such as full deregulation of power sector etal, pick up the slack on the generation end onwards to securing reliable 24/7 power supply for most States of Nigeria. |
