The Middle Belt Forum, MBF, has said former presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, is a man of integrity and can be trusted to keep his promise to do a single term if elected president of the country in 2027.

The Forum maintained that as a man of honour, the Middle Belt believed the former Anambra State governor would keep his words to the letter because of his integrity.

National President of MBF, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, made this known while reacting to the promise by the former presidential candidate to do a single term of four years if elected president.

He stated that the Middle Belt had no reason to doubt Peter Obi because of his record of keeping to promises, insisting that the assurance was not given to hoodwink or deceive the middle belt to support his aspiration.

Pogu, who clarified that he was strictly speaking for the Middle Belt and not the north, said: “We believe Peter Obi is a man of honour and we believe that if he gets the win and he promises or promised something, he will keep to it.

But like I have always said, we are where we are because we are not yet a nation. That is why several factors have continued to hold us back from attaining the dreams of our founding fathers.

Otherwise, how many terms one would occupy an office ought to be determined by the constitution and the electorate, rather than by some interest of some sections of the country.

But that issue is for the future. For now, as a people, we believe Peter Obi because we know he is a man of integrity and honour who keeps his words.

Nice to know that 1/3 of the north, are already in the bag for PO.

PO now has to work hard to convince the NE and NW to back his vision.

It is understandable that politicians are often untruthful and untrustworthy, however Peter Obi can be trusted to some certain degree.

He left the AD because the party was supporting and working for Obasanjo the PDP candidate

So my question is What does he intent to accomplish in one term and how does he intend to accomplish it.

He is the one that keep saying all the bad things that are wrong with this country (and conveniently ignoring the good things) so how does he intend to fix all of them in one term.

Or he just want to go there and do one or two and then leave the rest of the problems, comeback and continue attacking the next president?

If Obi is such an advocate of development why doesn't he use is influence (since he is so influential) to influence things in his state for better, give advice to you state governor, suggest development strides for you state. Influence the youths in his state to stand up and demand good governance.

Don't tell me its not possible, Tinubu does it, wike also do (even thou his is not for the state development but his own power), Kwankwoso do too in Kano. These are people who show that they love their homelands.
Obi is a businesses man, why doesn't he use his connection to pull/bring manufacturers into his state. Market his state to his international bossiness associates.

Obi as an angel, a good man that he want people to believe he his should use his influence to betterment of his state first.




Well of course except if the agenda is just to have an Igbo president and not do anything, takeings us back down the dirt we are trying to climb out from, then to that I say "God forbid".
