CDCFIB has published a new update with respect to the ongoing CDCFIB recruitment. Applicants are expected to verify their information and complete their applications on the CDCFIB recruitment portal also known as the CDCFIB application portal.
After successfully completing and submitting all applications on the CDCFIB recruitment portal, an application slip will be generated with the same Application ID previously generated.

The update on the CDCFIB recruitment portal is strictly for applicants who submitted their applications before the recent system upgrade on the CDCFIB application portal. Applicants that have submitted a new application after the upgrade on the CDCFIB recruitment portal, should kindly note that their latest submission will override any previous entries and will not be visible on the updated CDCFIB recruitment portal.

How to Verify Information On The CDCFIB Recruitment Portal

Applicants are to visit https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng and verify their information and complete the submission process on the CDCFIB recruitment portal.
Applicants are to complete this task promptly to avoid disqualification.

Am getting invalid NIN or phone number. What should we do?

In simple terms:
1. If you submitted your records before CDCFIB told candidates to hold on when the error was total (their pinned tweet on X dated 21st), then you are to follow this new publication.
2. If however you submitted after that pinned tweet (i.e. YOU SUBMITTED AFTER THAT TWEET), DON’T BOTHER!! :meaning if you submitted before the attached picture, you must update your application. Those that submitted after that picture will bring out error for you if you try retrieving application details.

Check all your uploaded documents, including the passport photograph. None should exceed 500kb, then check your birth date, if you are more than 35, it won't go.

Federal Government Warns of Fake Shortlist For CDCFIB Recruitment
Firstly applicants that have successfully completed and submitted their applications on the CDCFIB recruitment portal should kindly note that the next stage of the CDCFIB recruitment exercise is the CDCFIB recruitment Examination which will be conducted soon, applicants can prepare ahead for the upcoming CDCFIB recruitment exam which consists of Nigeria Immigration Service Exam, Exam for NSCDC Recruitment, Exam for Federal Fire Service Recruitment and exam for Nigeria Correctional Service Recruitment by using the CDCFIB past questions and answers, the Nigeria immigration service Past Questions and Answers, NSCDC Past Questions And Answers, Federal Fire Service Past Questions And Answers and Nigeria Correctional Service Past Questions And Answer in order to increase their chances of passing the exam for the CDCFIB recruitment.
Secondly CDCFIB which comprises of NSCDC, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Immigration Service has debunked claims that CDCFIB has started shortlisting candidates for the ongoing CDCFIB recruitment, CDCFIB warned applicants to ignore the fake messages distributed online.

According to a post shared through CDCFIB official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, CDCFIB stressed that the CDCFIB recruitment portal remains open till Monday 11th of August and that shortlisting has not started yet.

CDCFIB said “We are yet to commence shortlisting. The CDCFIB recruitment portal is still receiving applications until Monday, 11th August 2025. Beware of fraudsters."

This comes in response to fake and scam messages distributed across social media platforms and messaging apps, falsely claiming that applicants had been shortlisted for employment under the CDCFIB recruitment and demanding applicants to go for a so-called consultancy clearance.

One of the fake messages reads,
“You have been shortlisted as a suitable candidate after a review of your CV/application submitted recently… Your consultancy clearance would determine your posting letter for employment at any of the four (4) agencies.”

The scam and fraudulent message directs unsuspecting applicants to a fake CDCFIB recruitment portal “Federal Government Human Resource Consultant,” promising them a provisional offer of appointment and a posting letter within 2 weeks after verification.

CDCFIB dissociates itself from the fake messages and emphasize that it has not authorised any third-party communication requesting recruitment processing.

While reassuring its dedication to transparency, the CDCFIB reminded the general public that the entire CDCFIB recruitment will follow due process.

CDCFIB Recruitment portal was launched mid-July after previous delays. CDCFIB Recruitment process, covers vacancies in 4 federal paramilitary agencies and the board — the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) Recruitment, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Recruitment, Federal Fire Service (FFS) Recruitment, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Recruitment – was previously scheduled to start on 26th June but was postponed and eventually started on the 14th of July.

CDCFIB stated that applications for CDCFIB recruitment are being received exclusively through the official cd recruitment portal: www.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Available positions for the CDCFIB recruitment are spread across 3 major cadres which are:
1. General Duty (Superintendent)
2. Inspectorate, and Assistant, with each of the categories requiring specific academic and physical qualifications.

To apply for the CDCFIB recruitment, applicants must be:
1. Nigerian citizens
2. Aged 18–35
3. Physically fit
4. Medically fit,
5. Have no criminal record
6. Have no financial record.
7. Also have minimum height measurement requirements
8. Have minimum chest measurement requirements

The CDCFIB recruitment portal, which was closed briefly due to technical glitches, reopened July 21st. The CDCFIB recruitment closing date has since been extended from 4th August to 11th 2025.

The CDCFIB recruitment portal for the Civil Defence Recruitment, Nigeria Correctional Service Recruitment, Federal Fire Service Recruitment, and Nigeria Immigration Services Recruitment and CDCFIB Board Recruitment is now closed.
