The Federal Government has released funds for the disbursement of N5.12 billion in pension arrears to 90,689 Defined Benefit Scheme pensioners under the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Head of Corporate Communications of PTAD, Mr Olugbenga Ajayi.

Ajayi said that the directorate had finalised the disbursement of the money.

Ajayi said that the 90,689 pensioners across the four pension departments reaffirm their dedication and commitment to pensioners’ welfare.

The Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Prisons Pension Department (CIPPD) pensioners are 8,626 and received N276,032 for one month of arrears; the Police Pension Department pensioners are 9,681 and received N619,584 for two months as arrears.

The Civil Service Pension Department pensioners are 12,773 and received N408,736 for one month arrears, and the Parastatals Pension Department pensioners are 59,609 and received N3,814,976 for two months arrears.

He said that the payment reaffirms the administration’s commitment to ensuring that pensioners receive their due entitlements in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

"If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ?

They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's House during this Sallah period to go collect peanuts? People trooping to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation offices to collect branded One kilo bag of Rice & Noddles. Did you see the number of people of all ages who troop out to welcome Ex- convict James Ibori to South South! Do you see the number of handle mop following obi as if he is a seat? what of the one following dino malaye?

Your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your Political & Religion Leaders read, understand & digest.

Tinubu is A Listening leader. Any complain he investigated it and take a quick action. No wonder he said Thier will be no strike in his government. NLC, Almighty ASUU, Nursing, Doctors etc. have stopped going on strike

The Federal Government has revealed that the elimination of the petrol subsidy under President Bola Tinubu has resulted in savings of over $84 billion, which are now being channelled into the construction and rehabilitation of 40 key road projects across the country over the past two years.

This was disclosed in a policy brief released by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), titled “Two Years Later: Key Benefits of Subsidy Removal,” and made available to journalists over the weekend in Abuja.

The report, which reviewed the outcomes of the subsidy removal since May 29, 2023, noted that the policy averted a looming economic crisis.

It also enabled the Tinubu administration to clear long-standing financial liabilities, increase capital investments, and support the financial stability of state governments.
