Ranchers Bees, previously known as DIC Bees (Defence Industry Corporation) is a Kaduna based football club that has been in the Nigerian league since the 1970s. They've had famous players like Daniel Amokachi and Dahiru Sadi.

Bello El-Rufai is a member of the House of Representatives and son of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Sadiq Umar is a forward that plays for Real Sociedad and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Press Release: Mr. Sadiq Umar, Hon. Bello El-Rufai have secured ownership rights of Rancher Bees FC.

Super Eagles striker and Real Sociedad forward, Sadiq Umar, alongside current House of Representatives member (Kaduna North), Hon. Bello El-Rufai, have officially acquired Rancher Bees FC, the historic Kaduna-based football club.

The team is set to compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) in the upcoming season. Rancher Bees FC is a traditional name in Nigerian football history, having produced several former internationals and enjoyed a rich legacy in the Kaduna football scene. Speaking on the acquisition, Sadiq Umar expressed his excitement about reviving the club’s glory days.

“I and my partner Hon. Bello El-Rufai want to return the club to its old glory days. Growing up, I watched Rancher Bees of Kaduna, a club that produced countless players. It’s a thing of pride and joy for us to be the bona fide owners of the club,” Sadiq said. The new owners have ambitious plans, with Rancher Bees FC fielding both an academy team and a professional side for the NNL campaign.

“Our target is to secure promotion to the NPFL. I’m elated by the feedback from Rancher Bees supporters and the people of Kaduna. We will bring back the old memories of the club and return the fans to the stadium,” Sadiq added. With the backing of the passionate Kaduna fanbase, the new era for Rancher Bees FC promises an exciting journey toward restoring its storied past.

This is very commendable. With these guys as sponsors of the club. The club should be able to pull crowds to their match venues. And also attract good players

It is very good seeing individuals like these investing in our local leagues and eliminating the state governments from doing so.
With time our league shall be great again like the music industry where our Artists are well celebrated and paid.

Abuja- President Goodluck Jonathan made tax payments of N6,264,221.75 to the Federal Inland Revenue Service, (FIRS), out of a total of N43,230,871.44 as president between 2011 and 2013.

Details of the president’s tax payment also showed that the president did not earn any other income besides his fixed income as president of the country in that period. There were no indications of income from stocks or other businesses that the president could have had.

Despite earning a regular service of N14,410,290.48 in each of the three years, the president tax liabilities however increased in 2012 and 2013 to N2,510,775.77 up from the N1,242,670.21 paid in 2011.

The returns were displayed at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at Area 10, Abuja.

The income tax clearance certificate from the Federal Inland Revenue Service with Ref no- Abj/MDA/PAYE/09690150 and dated July 2, 2014 were part of the president’s submission as presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

The clearance which was stamped and received in the Legal Services Department of INEC on December 18, 2014, reads- “This is to certify that Dr. Jonathan Ebele Goodluck (Presidency), has paid income tax assessment for the past three years.

This is a welcome development. All clubs in the elite Nigerian professional football league should be privately owned or better still listed in the stock exchange. State governments and FG agencies should hands off the administration of clubs particularly those in the professional cadre.

To promote their own images and possibly prevent the club from dying thereby giving the players and the club staff another lifeline of job security as we all know that owning football club in Nigeria is not profitable
