Bear... Bears don't attack humans except on cocaine like the one in the 2023 movie Cocaine Bear.

In the U.S.A there is a saying by white folks:

If it's black, fight back,
If it's brown, lay down,
If it's white, good night.

Meaning that if you encounter a black bear(which is one of the smallest), your best chance is to formulate intimidating and fight back.

If it's a brown bear, which appears to be what we have in the O.P, then you better lay down and play dead. Brown bears typically don't prey
on humans and usually attack only if intimidated.

If it's a white(polar) bear, then here's to hoping that you lived a good life and are therefore ready to meet God. There is no universe where you have even a fleeting chance with a polar bear, and by the time you see one it would already be too late, because that would mean that it had been stalking you for days.
