We are seeking for a detail-oriented and proactive PROCUREMENT MALE ASSISTANT with a background in construction materials or in-store rack systems to support our procurement and logistics operations. The role involves sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, managing import/export processes and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
The successful candidate must have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of local and international procurement practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

• Source and evaluate suppliers for construction and in-store rack materials.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and develop vendor relationships.
• Track and update unit prices for cost trend analysis and reporting.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.

Logistics

• Coordinate local and international shipments, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and documentation (e.g., Form M, SONCAP, PAAR, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List).
• Liaise with shipping companies, clearing agents and transporters to ensure smooth movement of goods.
• Arrange and monitor deliveries to project sites, ensuring timely arrival and accurate quantities.
• Maintain records of shipment status and proactively address delays or issues.
• Oversee the safe handling, storage and distribution of materials.
Administrative Support
• Assist in preparing procurement and logistics reports for management review.
• Maintain procurement and logistics files for audit readiness.
• Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and documentation.
• Support inventory management by updating stock levels and monitoring re-order needs.


Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in a technical background in construction materials plus procurement/logistics experience or related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the construction materials or in-store rack systems sector.
Experience in import/export documentation and regulatory compliance.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of construction/in-store rack material specifications.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic data analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
