I ship sweet delicious smoked Oven Dried CatFish to an African store in UK.

They buy it at 19,000. That like 9 pounds. For 1 kg.

The African store buys it so cheap from me.

Then I discovered how much they sell 1kg of the Oven Dried catfish to UK people.

They sell for 27 pounds to UK people.

African foodstuffs are so expensive abroad.

It's best you buy the foodstuffs directly from Nigeria.

The woman that owns African store is making good money from the business.

And she told me she sells it from her house.

She also said people are always buying especially Nigerians and Ghanaians.

UK people. I hail una.

Considering the location, I'd say it's worth it.
It probably cost a lot to ship those ingredients over there.
The fish won't be imported. The vegetables would be bought from local stores selling African foodstuffs. Even african dishes are not so expensive. Why should this be an exception?

Among the Igbo delicacies, I used to like this particular food a lot. Its called , Abacha. The last time I was in Nigeria, I was practically chasing Abacha sellers down the street in order to buy.

Now, checking the local Facebook Market, I came across this post from a seller in my neighborhood.

A plate of Abacha for $60? I think this is over the top and we like to hike the prices of our goods wherever we find ourselves.

What so you think? Is this price reasonable ?
$60?
Na God wan chop am?

Which USA are you?

You stay in Nigeria and project on another society without even knowing what you are saying. $60 can feed you in the USA for close to a week, if you don't know.

$60 is not a chicken change in the US. I live there and I would never buy that for $60. I would rather take that $60 to an African store and buy a lot of stuff with it and prepare it myself.
