This is an unacceptable judgement, Keyamo is using the public outcry to hide the culpable crime committed by #KWAM1

The statement from Keyamo may seemed good on paper, but in the context of the law, it is wrong.

Just imagine a minister or member of parliament in UK, telling a Crown Police or Scotland Police to drop a civil or criminal case?

The British media would roast that Minister and the government. You do not interfere in police investigation. A Nigerian member of parliament in Canada was quizzed because he tried to call a higher authority when a police man pulled him over on the road. You don't interfere with the legal and justice system if believe it to be fair

You allow the rule of law to prevail and apply punishment to culprit and compensation to the party that felt offended.

I knew that Ibom Air would quickly agree to drop the case as the opinions were weighing in against them.

I am sure when all the facts of the matter are laid bare, you would shock who the guilty party would be and the compensation that may arise if the justice system is not compromised.

Kenmom has bowed down to the loud-mouthed mouth empty-barrel Obidients and the noise makers on Social media. This is a terrible precedent.
He should be fired asap. If the laws of the land will not be applied just because some people are making noise all over the interne,t then you need to go.
I was a supporter of Kenyamo, but he has dropped the ball with these steps.

Wasiu should be banned for 6 months and that lady should be prosecuted for assult, anything less is trasvasty of justice.
Is it the "loud-mouthed mouth empty-barrel Obidients" that said Wasiu should not be banned and the lady should not be prosecuted?

Nigerians are too emotional and reason why we always get it wrongs, some are tribalistic emotional, some religion emotional, some political parties emotional..... sentimental in our judgements and funny most educated fellows are involved.

What happened recently in our aviation sector happen everywhere, ask those that travel often but get it right the airport management do handle the situation very well but here we are always shouting it can't happen in developed world, even many that have not left shore of this country are giving advices, telling us what's not.

Many missed the fact that it was Ibom Air that took Comfort to court not even FG and in the case of K1 Valuejets failed to charge him but aviation minister did well by instructing NCAA to inform the IG and AGF, despite this good measure, emotional Nigerians wants quick justice especially on K1 but failed to ask Valuejets why after your complaint you failed to charge this man to court but went to social media to upload videos,in a situation like this FG needs to be very careful

Kenyamo has done well regarding Ms Comfort case, yes the lady wasn't right but Ibom Air messed things up,most local air hostesses don't fit to be on international flights cuz you encountered different passengers with different attitudes and it is always calmness of airlines staff that always make it to be smoothly.

It's well with Nigeria o

See these people trying to save face. What power does the minister of aviation have to tell the police to drop a case? This is why the world doesn't take us seriously. If a crime has been committed, let whoever the person is face the law!
she was been charged under aviation law the FAAN act. The minister oversees FAAN

Nice one from keyamo. That lady deserves to gain her freedom as she was provoked.
Ibom air and faan security would have likely faced millions in litigation from restraining her leaving the aircraft to publically shaming her. I wount be surprised if financial compensation is hurriedly packeged for her codedly to stop her from seeking legal redress.
To those that bashed an opposition leader for calling out the double standards which lead others to speak up and look more closely into the girls plight, hope you are all from wealthy and powerful homes, because when naija happens to you, you may end up like this lady, stripped naked, bundled before a majustrate and dumped in kirikiri for months, meanwhile the rich kid will be at home while his case remains "under investigation".

I am still not comfortable with these leniencies. Offenders should be punished. Somebody must be made a scape goat for others to learn. I tell you sincerely , this was how arson, banditry and kidnapping gained momentum starting from President Obasanjo's era when some Niger Delta leaders went to Presidency to beg for the forgiveness of those involved on arson to avoid to Odi incident. We all know the outcome today in terms of death, displacement of people and other related cost. I understand the Government wants to be diplomatic on these, but what is our past experience in similar situations?

With this kind of political leniency, we may not hear the last of these incidents and may be more brutal and devastating.

Almighty saves Nigeria!

The lady got charges against her dropped, technically because of KWAM 1's case.

Shameless FGN doesn't want to be seen as partial, there is no moral justification of pressing charges against her, and they will do nothing about KWAM 1's case.

It's still all shades of inequality...they know they can't touch KWAM 1 because of preferential treatment...so, it's just technically wise to free this lady also.

If you are a beast of nobody, no put body for this Kain wahala in the nearest time...else, na you go be the scapegoat.

All na still nonsense

Why do i feel they played US,.... comfort was a jailbreak for wasiu ....

in the desperation of socialite and overeducated Nigerians to jailbreak Comfort they also paved way for kwam1 to escape, Nigerians are very predictable

Whoever planned this whole ploy ... i salute

KWAM1's actions actively endangered the lives of over 100 souls on board the plane.
Comfort's actions constituted a nuisance and public disturbance

KWAM1 is a much older person, supposedly suave, supposedly urbane, supposedly polished and exposed to civilization - he is expceted to know better

Comfort is a small girl from the hood doing Instagram thot to get by.

they are not the same.

The truth is both unruly passengers involved actually have a bigger case against the aviation industry: kwam1 can sue for attempted murder, the lady claim too is obvious.

Weakling!!! That's what I've seen from here. Both incidents won't go unpunished severely in the Western world. We are truly not serious in Nigeria. Goodluck to all the parties involved.
ONE MONTH ban dented K1 record so what other punishment do you want for him?even in western world cases like this varies with different judgements, some just fines, some traveling ban... Kenyamo has done well

No better way to settle the matter than this.
You mean no better way to continue to reinforce the "do you know who I am" mentality of affluent Nigerians. Las las na impunity go bury this Country.

Likewise. I am disappointed in Kenyamo.

In 2009, Wayas a former senate president was banned for 1 yr for unruly behavior and Charly Boy also got a 1 yr ban for refusing the leave a business class seat when he paid for economy.

All this nonsense is because of internet

Don't be making comments that expose your ignorance. This man just calmed a major issue and improved his popularity score by wisdom. But here you are implying that he is weak. People like you think everything is resolved by brute force and fighting, no wonder.

And the ibom Air crew where is their apology, incarceration or compensation to miss comfort

Abi did we forget their part in this horrible crime...they pulled of her dress in their unlawful arrest

It also appears premeditated

They are also culpable

Keyamo is obviously acting under pressure from those who feel KWAM 1's offence is more grievous and are sentimental about the female passenger.
