We married A Year ago. We decided to wait for a year before having kids. We started trying 3 few months but no success. I told both of us needs to get tested. I did Sperm Analysis & the result is good, I'm very fertile.

She did pelvic scan, and in the scan, She has fibroid (Submocousal fibroid 5.5cm). The news broke me and I was very sad, I never imagined I'll be in this kind of situation. We went to the gynecologist and He told us to go for HSG to check her fallopian tube, The result showed that Both Tubes are blocked.

I've not been myself for the last couple of days. I had to pretend to be strong because She was down & has been crying as well. This are two serious fertility issues and Her chances of conception is very low. Even if The gynecologist tells us to do the IVF(Which I don't even have money for it cause it's vey expensive) They'll still have to remove the fibroid.

This are very expensive procedures that are not even guaranteed that it will work and She will conceive. I'm the only male child in my family, in my early 30's. Pressure will start coming from all directions and also considering my my age, I don't pray to experience delay with child birth. I just decided to pour own my mind here. I'm really down, I don't know what to do.
Baba, I understand how heavy this news is, I was in similar experience but God just made name for Himself.

First thing first, you need to mentally manage the pressure of only male child, cancel this pressure first as you and your wife need all the psychological support to go through this journey which will mostly come from how you are able to manage this issue.

Secondly, be proactive and start on time, she needs surgery asap to take out the fibroid, good doctors might also manage to flee the fallopian tube with the fibroid removal, from our experience. Also, while you need this fibroid surgery done asap is because, after the surgery your wife will need from 6 months to 1 year of full recovery (doctors advise this) before attempting pregnancy to ensure a smooth journey.

Thirdly, start asap perhaps with even as u plan for the surgery to also plan for IVF. Not sure where you reside but look out for clinics in the North, say Jos, Kano, Markudi or even Abuja, you can get affordable rate say 1. something million naira or so for a single cycle and might even be lower for some clinics that offer promo or subsidize the fee from the funding they get from NGOS.

See all these situations that God and life have their plans, as you can see it is not your wife's fault or something that has to do with her past, rather it is health challenges.

Get yourself together and plan. Good luck!! It always ends well.

I love how y’all get hypertensive when the mirror is turned on you.
Cry me a river
Why would anyone get hypertensive that you are on a self-destruct mission. If anyone’s going to be hypertensive on the sad path you have chosen to tread, it’s probably the people who raised you, watching all they invested in you circle the drain.

Don't you believe in miracles? All things are possible to him that believeth. This is the time to stand by your wife in faith & claim God's promises. Couples with worse cases have testified of how they came out of it triumphantly. You can also do the same. May the Almighty God strengthen you bro.

Let her start with tracking ovulation. Some of this fertility issues may not be that severe at times. I had issues with hormones too and had miscarriage march 26 2025 my first pregnancy after 2 years and 3 month of unprotected sex. But I'm not giving up. I don waste money for shika tire only for me to realise my ovulation is not affected. Although the egg quality are not that good. But waiting for that pregnancy that will stay and I'm going to have an anomaly test just to make sure about the normality of the baby

But una get mind wait for after one year. Hope you wife loves sex . It one of the issues I am battling with because my hormones sometimes makes me hate sex and sometimes ends up losing my ovulation period .

All the best Sir 👍

You married and you decided to wait 1 year to be finding baby, I sense manipulation in that statement. Your wife knew she can't have babies and was manipulating you.

The blocked fallopian tubes is the issue here and not really the fibroid. The blocked tubes can be unblocked by very good gynaecologist using tubal cannulation and other techniques.
You don't need to panic, we have been there before and we conquered.
Research more on good Gynecologists. Share your issues with your good friends that have given birth, they will share their experiences with you and where to go to for proper help.
Can be unblocked depending on what blocks it…. If it’s Hydrosalpinx odi gbere niyen

We both went to test ourselves, Doctors found out I've no fertility issues...My wife did HSG , we found out both Fallopian tubes are block. Omo, we tried many herbal remedies, no way. By December this year (2025), my marriage will be 10 years. Only God know what my Mother (RIP MAMA, 2023) went through for my cause.
Anyway, My girlfriend is currently Pregnant, we did it just once and she picked...

Be ready to marry another wife. Start now to plan for second wife. Many polygamists are forces into it because of infertility.

Don't be emotional here, at least be selfish in having child by all means. Abraham, Jacob and your forefathers did it. Now it is your turn to procreate. Don't be good husband to a wife and a fool to your generation

Oga, do you believe in the miracle working power of God?

That will determine whether your story remains a lamentation or turns to a testimony.

Enter any Winners' Chapel near you on Sunday, there is a special healing service going on, and sort your issue out with the God of all flesh.

In case you are commited in your local church already, no wahala, enter into agreement with your wife, and dedicate just three days fasting and prayer to the issue; you will celebrate by this time next year.

I await your testimony.

If you have any question, message me.

I understand how you feel bro... But, first calm down.
It is not as bad as it sounds... You both just have to determine to work through this challenges together.
First and foremost, go and register for a comprehensive HMO (choose a package that covers major surgery). This will greatly reduce the medical bills and make things easier for both of you.
Discuss with the gynaecologist on the best way to proceed with the necessary medications and surgery then go for it.

Your wife needs you now more than ever before... You can reach out for moral support at anytime and any day by just mentioning me in your comments.
Which HMO do you think is the best?

I wish you all the best and the strength to weather the storm!!!

I understand totally how you feel. I also had similar experience.

I am the only child. I got married four years ago only to discover during the early stage of our marriage that my wife had fibroids. Wifey cried and I had to stay strong to give her hope. We both prayed and committed our issue to God. Miraculously, months after discovery my wife took in. The baby coexisted with the fibroids in her. At the early stage she was experiencing pains but after prayers and taking the water of fire, the pain seized till she gave birth. Now we have two handsome boys. The first is 3 years and the second is 5 months.

The first thing you need to do is to manage the pressure and commit everything into God's hands. I believe the experience I had is for people in the same boat to draw hope from. I felt unexplainable peace in the mist of the storms after commiting everything to God. However my wife was still in panic mode but I was stable enough to be strong for her. Today it is all a testimony.

My brother I beseech you to stay strong and believe that what God cannot do doesn't exist.
