Putin's war isn't about rare earth minerals. It isn't about a few Ukrainian territories – Putin has enough land. Those who think it's about a "multipolar world" are also delusional. It's about bringing Ukraine (the whole of it) back under Russia's influence and shifting the global balance of power to Russia and its dictatorial allies.
