marrrrryyy:Globus and Parallex are commercial banks and accepted by IRCC, but they’re known for POF “runs.” Avoid using a new account for POF, as IRCC requires at least 6 months of bank statements so u can use globus just avoid new account without 6 month bank statement. |

Throwawayacc101:If your exclusion order was only for one year, you served the full period, and you left Canada on time, it likely won’t block your PR application in the future — as long as you are honest, provide proof, and have no other inadmissibility issues. However, please contact a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer for proper guidance. https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx I do not recommend relying solely on advice from anyone on this forum. You might need to provide more information about your case, and a professional will be best equipped to guide you through the process. Thank you. |

amnotapervert:Thank you for your response and the helpful guidance. My exclusion order was for one year, and I served the full period and left Canada on time, so that has now elapsed. I checked the link you shared, but I’m not fully sure how to navigate the page or what steps I should take next. Could you kindly clarify how I can use that resource to find the right immigration consultant or lawyer? |

Throwawayacc101:Just type the country and city you are currently in, and you will see a list of licensed immigration consultants near you Select any one, and they should be able to help you. Your case is very dicey, so do not let anyone who isn’t licensed in that field suggest anything to you, please. It’s not cheap, but the issues that will come up if you don’t do it right are far worse than the savings you think you are making.

Please help. can the iom results from study permit be used in apply for pr? Candidate’s study permit application was denied. But iom result is still valid |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by amnotapervert(m): 4:22pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
Islabelle:If the candidate’s study permit was refused but the IOM medical exam is still within 12 months, they can usually reuse it for PR by: Entering the IME number in the PR medical section Uploading the IOM’s eMedical sheet as proof If it’s close to expiry, IRCC might still accept it temporarily and later ask for a re-examination. |

Good day everyone. Please it’s my first time write here, I’m a German citizen but for the past three months I’ve been living and working here in Paris France. I have been researching on the best possible way to migrate to Canada so I will be able to petition for my boyfriend who currently resides in Nigeria and it’s seems the express entry route is my best belt. I currently hold a bsc, msc and almost done ( just my final defense) phd in public health, and currently works as a junior researcher ( public health scientist) with over 5 yrs working experience and I’m 32yrs old. I don’t really understand how the points are been calculated and I just wrote my TEF exams few days ago. Attached are my tef results and I really don’t know if it’s ok to go with. Please pardon me for the typos

I want to confirm how much WES Evaluation costs. I am getting an additional $95 courier fee. I thought the report is sent electronically? Can one opt out of the delivery or is $256 + $95 the actual amount I'm meant to pay? |

Hello House, I am new on this journey. From my simulation on IRCC webiste, i see that there are other alternatives to IELTS proof of English. Can i go ahead with PTE Core as a substitute for IELTS? Thanks for your anticipated responses. |

firelord222:Let me not lie—it’s going to be hard, but you still have some options. It will take extra effort. Pre-2023/2024, a CRS score of 465 outside Canada would have been competitive. But right now, it’s not even high enough for many candidates already inside Canada seeking PR. Here’s the simple truth: Learn French PNP are your only options very hard for both Recent general/CEC rounds have been in the low–mid 520s or higher—not reachable at 465. You’re likely in the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) stream under Express Entry, so keep your profile active. The STEM category (which covers software occupations) has hovered in the mid-480s in 2025. That’s still above 465, but much closer. What you can do: 1 Retake IELTS (or CELPIP) targeting CLB 9/10. 2 Consider TEF/TCF (French test) to chase the +50 French points and qualify for French-category draws. Recent French-only draws have landed around 481. If you can reach CLB 7+ in French, you get both the category eligibility and bonus points. 3.Pursue a PNP in parallel: Register “expression of interest” for Ontario HCP (Tech) and BC PNP Tech. its not easy but you need extra 600 PNP points to scale pass Set job alerts for Ontario and BC (WelcomeBC, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). 4 Employer-driven ‘come first, then PR’ routes (strong for software): Apply to Canadian jobs that use Global Talent Stream (GTS) or Intra-Company Transfer (ICT). Mention “Global Talent Stream” in cover letters and target designated/GTS-savvy employers. It’s tough, since there are many qualified developers in Canada and the employment rate is high right now. If open to smaller communities, target Atlantic or RCIP programs: Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP): Full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a designated employer in Atlantic Canada + settlement plan = PR pathway (not just a work permit). Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP): Launched in 2025 as the RNIP replacement. Requires a job offer from a designated employer in a participating rural community, then a community recommendation, then PR application. |
