"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu The Man Behind The Road Constructions In Abia State by odoemelamemmanu(op): 8:37am On Aug 15, 2025
The All Progressive Congress in Abia State has commended and appreciated President Tinubu for the $125 million infrastructure deal he approved for Abia State, which will cover 126 and 35 kilometers of roads in Aba and Umuahia respectively, while noting that the President's solid support for the State, which has shown his commitment in delivering dividends of democracy to the God's Own State, not minding the state being an opposition party led state.

In a press release signed and made public on Thursday, 14th August, 2025 by Prince Ifeanyi Igwe Esq, the acting Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Congress in Abia State, where the party urged the government of Abia State led by Governor Alex Chioma Otti who is also a believer of the 'Renewed Hope Agenda', to make very prudent use of the said money, to show transparency and accountability to the good people of Abia State and Nigeria in general, while stressing that the Public Procurement Act, 2007 must be followed to the last kobo in making sure the money is specifically used for what it is given for.

In recognition of Mr. President's immense passion for infrastructural developments in Abia State which has led to the remarkable growth effect in the State, the party through Barr. Igwe pointed out strategic projects that have been completed and delivered in the State, namely; Port Harcourt to Aba rail line, Port Harcourt road in Aba, Abia Airport and Umuahia Ikot Ekpene road, while noting that these key infrastructural developments in the rail, road and air transportation systems has opened up the State for faster and effective business convergence which will further grow the prosperity of the state.

Furthermore, the APC caucus in Abia State took the opportunity to extend their warm regards to President Tinubu for releasing vast amounts of money to Abia State government led by Governor Alex Otti, while emphasizing the need for the Governor to appreciate, acknowledge and tell Abians the positive achievements of the Federal Government in Abia.

As a responsible top ranking opposition voice in the State, Barr. Igwe asserted that the APC caucus is highly interested and committed to scrutinizing and checkmating the state's spending habits in making sure they pass through the acceptable procurement processes, when, how and why they are released in tandem with the procurement Act.

"The All Progressives Congress (APC) Abia State Chapter extends its profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for approving a $125 million infrastructure deal for Abia State. This project will cover 35 kilometers of roads in Umuahia and 126 kilometers in Aba.

"The State Chapter further commends President Tinubu for his unwavering support for the people of Abia State. This gesture demonstrates his commitment to delivering dividends of democracy to every part of the country, regardless of political party affiliation.

"The state chapter therefore urges the Abia State Government, led by Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, who is a well known partner of the Renewed Hope agenda to utilize this fund judiciously, channeling it for the purpose for which it was approved. It further noted that transparency and accountability are essential for a successful government, and therefore implores the Abia State Government to adhere strictly to the Public Procurement Act, 2007, that Governs the procurement process in Nigeria, particularly within government or public entities, it involves a series of steps designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and value for money in the acquisition of goods, works, and services. It includes planning, advertising, bid evaluation, contract award, and contract management.

"The State Chapter noted with joy the unwavering commitment of Our dear President to infrastructural development in Abia State. The President's administration has demonstrated remarkable support for the state's growth, evident in numerous projects like

"1. Port Harcourt to Aba rail line: A significant transportation infrastructure upgrade.
2. Port Harcourt road in Aba: A crucial road infrastructure improvement.
3. Abia Airport: A vital transportation hub.
4. Umuahia Ikot Ekpene road: A key road infrastructure development.

"The State Chapter further commends President Tinubu for his administration's huge allocations to Abia State, and encourages Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti to continue to acknowledge the President's role in the changes visible in the state, and appreciate the Tinubu administration's contributions to Abia State's infrastructural development.

"The chapter further calls on the state Government to be transparent and in so doing, the Abia State Government can demonstrate its commitment to transparency and accountability, while also acknowledging the President's efforts in driving development in the state.

As the monitoring party in the state, APC Abia State has vowed to closely track the release and application of these funds, ensuring compliance with procurement processes and the terms of approval." Barr. Igwe opined.

It is a loan Abia state is qualified to get and are going to pay back with interest.
Neither the bank nor the president is doing us any favours it is transactional.

My friend you better sharap Ur 👄 this is purely Abia state politics and we appreciate all the developmental projects being done by our excellent performing governor Alex Otti.
We also appreciate federal executed projects in our state like Enugu/PH express road Enugu Umuahia Aba section they should hasten up and finish the remaining section Aba to PH city.

It's federal funded project and the FG can go to any lender to fund its projects across the country. I thought you guys atleast went to a secondary school?. If the President didn't approve it, who will, if the FEC didn't approve it, is it Otti that will approve it?. I swear, I wished Tinubu could just treat you guys like Buhari.

The president is under obligations to approve it once the state is qualified to take such loan.
Are you aware that Abia state provided over $23m. Counterpart funding?

Even if Alex Oti come out to say Tinubu is the one doing all the road construction in Abia state, Abians will not believe him. Because the name Tinubu and lies are inseparable.

The president is not under any obligation to approve. He can decide not to approve. Jonathan refused to approve Lagos State Blue line rail request and heaven did not fall. If Tinubu refused to approve Abia loan request, heaven will not fall.
