Bamidele Abiodun Pays Tribute To Her Son, Gbemiga Aka DJ Olu by SheikhMuniru(op): 9:37pm On Aug 14, 2025
The first lady of Ogun state, Bamidele Abiodun, took to social media to pay tribute to her son, Gbemiga aka DJ Olu, who would have turned a year older today August 14.

Late DJ Olu alongside his friend Chime passed away on October 7, 2017. He was 24 years old.

Mrs Bamidele wrote
‘’2017 October, Lamissa to me, "Mummy you know, no matter how happy a situation is for us following this, it will never be complete because Gbemiga will not be there. We have to learn to live with that."

How right she was at such a sad reality.

It is your birthday again, and I am grateful, so grateful to God for many things. Happy too, but my happiness is always interrupted by the jolt of the reality, you're not here to celebrate with us, nor we with you.

Despite my faith in God, I am honest with myself enough to know this is an enduring pain, imagining what you would look like, how different my life would have been having you here, all the plans you had for yourself and for me; our precious, very honest moments. Oh, my heart breaks as I write this, and imagine what could have been, but God knows best and allowed things to be this way.

My Gbemiga, continue to rest in peace, as we continue to remember you fondly on your birthday, because I know this is what you would have wanted. Love you this birthday, and always.''

If this news was on phoenix, abeg don't read it. That's how everybody will be paying tribute to everybody on phoenix browser upandan.

Because of grammarians out there, let me also put it out that paying tribute can also be done to the living and not only to the dead before I will start receiving corrections upandan. But phoenix browsers own too much abeg grin

Leave these people alone. How does the passing and memory of her son relate to the governor’s political fight with OGD, is he the god?

Except OGD is your benefactor you’re delusional

How many more extreme poverty paupers cry themselves to death because of the looting of the minister and other politicians who we allow to emerge from among us into leadership positions?

Should we simply rejoice in the secret tears of our oppressors? Or should we work to reduce their looting of our commonwealth and increase their accountability to us?

Which one should we do huh

“The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events.

He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”
