Media personality Toke Makinwa has revealed how she prayed to God about desiring a child before turning 40. 

In a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, she shared that she had prayed to become a mother by the time she turned 40 but interestingly, she turned 40 in November and became pregnant in December 2024, crediting God for answering her prayer.

Toke also addressed a common misconception about her views on men, stating that she doesn’t hate men as many people believe.

“There is this popular belief that I bash and h@te men. It’s not true. I launched TM Beauty when I was so depressed, but people didn’t know. I prayed to God that I wanted to turn 40 being a mum. I clocked 40 in November, and God did the pregnancy in December. God didn’t fail me. He is never late,” she said.

Makinwa revealed she’s expecting her first child in an emotional video announcement on August 13, 2025.

The 40-year-old media icon shared a breathtaking maternity video on Instagram, showcasing her baby bump in a serene garden setting.

She’s dressed in a stunning gown with a sheer, floral-detailed bodice and a vibrant yellow skirt.

In the caption, Toke reflected on her journey to motherhood, calling it “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever.”

She expressed gratitude to God, stating, “Dear God, You did this one… You truly are the God of time and chance. My season is here.”

The announcement drew congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities, including Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, who flooded her comment section with supportive notes.

Toke’s pregnancy reveal has sparked excitement among her fans, with over 60,000 comments within just five hours of the post.

Toke has previously spoken about her experiences as a single woman and her thoughts on marriage.
