Yes, the toilet has screw holes.

Yes, the unit removed was installed directly on tiles, not concrete. I don't know whether screws were used though.

I'll try to take better pictures Itomorrow and post here. Thank you.
Okay. While at that you'll have to find a way to check if the screws are properly in place afixed or worn out because that's the reason why you get that wobble effect of the toilet seat.

Hello Chief.

I need your help! How much would it cost to run a solar system that can power just freezer/fridge and pumping machine 1.5hp.

I want to surprise my mum. She sells cold drinks and water at home and she spends more on fuel daily and she doesn’t even break even on the profit, she merely does it for the passion and now, the sound of the generator is already affecting.

How much I fir use run solar wey go dey handle freezer/fridge 24/7 only or freezer/frudge and pumping machine.

Thanks

To be honest, it really depends on WHY do you want to build a bungalow in 4 months?

Its very very possible and not rocket science. As long as the funds are readily available.
As regards the budget, to be very realistic, just get the detailed complete building plan and an actual BOQ/BEME from land clearing to hand off key.

It is very possible and can be be easily achieved, provided funding is readily available.
As for the budget, it depends on your architectural design and type of finishes you want for the structure.
We are at your service for your architectural design(building plan) and project management.
Cheers as you take the next biggest step

Very possible look at what we just finished in your city ( Ibadan ) for only 200days from scratch to open key

For budget on your 3bdrms as mentioned, it depends on your pocket and size of building let’s break it down

Luxury like lekki standard btw 40-60m
Semi luxury 30-40m
Classy model 25-30m
Regular ( I don’t care model) 12m
Dry table land comes to mind here ( strip-pad fdn)
This covered Materials and Labour

Good morning great minds. Please can anyone help with the best bond I can use to make this toilet still without shaking when sat on?

I got a plumber to remove the old unit and install this new one but I'm quite disappointed at his job. He used a tube silicone (I think it has a blue label) but the toilet wobbles. Can't say whether it's the material or he's just not good at it.

From the way this WC was installed, it must rock. The plumber did a bad job.
He just aligned the WC and applied silicone gum by the side.

The best way is to align the WC, Mark the position on the floor with a pencil or pen, Mark the holes, remove the WC , drill the holes, apply silicone to the hole and fix the fisher.
Apply silicone sealant round the marked WC base. Raise the WC and put on top the silicone on the ground, tighten the screws to the fisher and wipe out excess caulk.

With this the WC makes bonding with silicone and floor and also assisted by the screws

I've watched a few YouTube videos about how it's installed so I plan on scraping this one off and doing it all over again. But please, what bond is best for this purpose? Thank you sirs.

It is not possible unless they mean carcass. And it doesn't depend on funds. It depends on the right planning to have a fighting chance.

Excluding Sundays; working from Monday to Saturday, that is 112 working days. Civil engineering and logistically speaking I can't see this happening unless na all those kind poorly built bungalows with very low foundation without DPC.

The truth is Nigeria doesn't have supporting infrastructure to support a quality, smooth and speedy construction delivery. The availability of funds is not the issue here. A homeowner who wishes to complete a building in four months, must already have earmarked funds.

The issues are:

LOCATION: There are some locations in the country that can take you over two weeks just to get a trailer load of sand or granite delivery to site from the date you place the order. Try to get sand or granite delivered to places (for example) like Central Lagos or even Yaba, Aguda and you will understand what I mean. In some locations, drilling a borehole for a successful access to water to build can even take you a whole month sef.

LOW PRODUCTIVITY: The average time of delivering a foundation subject to Building Regulations, is 14 days from the day you break ground. If it is water logged, it may even take you more than a month just to deliver the foundation. This is because productivity is low in the country and almost all processes are manual labour with near zero automation and machinery use. The right equipment are not readily available.

It's not uncommon for the delivery and installation of windows to take you more than a month. Custom design of MDF/HDF wardrobe can take you a month sef. Realistically, internal finish alone done use up the four months.

So the issue is the right planning. Planning is key. This is why it is essential to know why they wish to build a house in breakneck speed.

Very possible, I have seen it countless times. Last December one of our engineer did a 4 bedroom duplex along with 2 three bedroom flats all attached for 3 months.

Just give it to competent and honest engineer have him sign a time management agreement and you should be on hand or have a stubborn person to be handy to monitor it.

The bolded is more than enough for anyone.
Location and swamped land and the other challenges you mentioned are of no real threat to meeting up the desired timeline.
There are certain considerations that can be given in certain instance which the client will also see real reasons for such and need for an extension.

If someone on here has done such for three months but i can't remember if it was carcass alone or with complete finishing.
Nevertheless, I say that it's very possible for all and hand over key to the client and that depends on the earmarked funds.

I will end with......

As an engineer/architect/builder with a well detailed building design plan, why do I need the GMP man to come take measurements at the site when it's easy for him to get if off the design plan and start preparing and so it is for some other stuffs.
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by gabbytabby: 4:20pm On Aug 17, 2025
With a normal land terrain, It is possible with money and planning/scheduling. A lot of supplies windows, security, toilet bathrooms etc can be bought or ordered well before they are needed.

6 flats 3up and 3 down was done in 6 months. There was secure storage on site and good planning.

Also 1 day machine concrete was done through out at every stage blinding, German floor, lintels and decking.
