I thought with the CNG buses, prices will be reduced. The shuttle buses are charging almost the same prices. The govt should slash the prices, since the buses are not using P.M.S.
Meanwhile, Kudos to the Enugu govt for revolutionising the transport sector in the state

Without CNG to Nzukka will now be how much? He suppose to designate two or three buses to tertiary institutions like ESUT,UNEC,IMT,UNN Nzukka etc and lower the price a bit for them. Anyway, we also thank Tinubu that make states to now have enough money to embark on meaningful projects and we also thank him for conquering ipob and ekpa that liberate people from Monday Monday sit at home imprisonment

Lest I forget, please also update me about how many ADC and LP candidates have won so far in this bye elections

You're travelling in airconditioned comfort so don't expect the prices to be unrealistically too low beyond what they used to be! It's money they used to acquire all this, so they can't be seen to be throwing it away with unrealistic pricing. I gather students, kids and the elderly will get discounts on the prices of their tickets so i think that's enough of a concession to make.

Buses is not meant for everyone. If you don't earn a living wage 300k upwards, use your leg or collect loan to buy Okada and be using. Thank you BAT

Tinubu is a bold and visionary leader. When he started this CNG thing Obi and Obidients derided him. Now see how govs and everyone is embracing it as it is cheaper to use. Tinubu is light years ahead of Obi in vision and capability.

Re: Enugu State Government Releases Routes And Prices For CNG Bus Services by wizelink: 12:34pm On Aug 17, 2025
I was thinking the CNG buses from state government were meant to reduce cost of transportation within Enugu.

The last time I visited UNN around July 17 this year, Using PMT from Nsukka to Holy ghost hovers around 2500 (old bus), 3000 (For new bus plus AC). From same place to Abakpa is around 2000. These are small buses (18 seaters) that can easily move if you are in hurry.

Why should state government procure long CNG buses and still put the cost same as privately run transport businesses?

If they make the prices too low they will not be able to maintain the buses
Re: Enugu State Government Releases Routes And Prices For CNG Bus Services by jmoore(m): 12:40pm On Aug 17, 2025
The primary purpose of CNG buses introduction is to reduce cost of transportation as a result of petrol subsidy removal.

If the CNG buses are charging same as normal buses, then the purpose no longer make sense.

They should charge enough to be able to maintain the buses and pay workers otherwise they would fold up like other government transport companies before them.
The positive side is that it would entrench an organize transportation system unlike the current multitude of disorganization in place

Of all the cng busses and cars in Lagos, how many CNG -related eventualities have been recorded?

You people should look at the positive side of things for once.

As much as I know, Lagos is one state I know that this CNG has gained massive acceptance as people now endure long list of queues for CNG at the filling station.

Those who made and released CNG already considered the leakage part and taken steps to address that.

I'm struggling to comprehend the statement you just made. Your grammatic expression is yacky. Secondly, don't spew trash all in the name of trying to belittle those that are complaining that the fare is on the high side. Thank you.

In Abuja, the long buses price is very very cheap when compared to other small buses.

If you're not in a hurry, you can join them. It's also safer

You guys are funny. Was AC the main purpose of CNG introduction or lower prices?

I don't want to talk much. After a year, let's see how they have performed.

There should also be a means of checks and balances to avoid abuse of the transport scheme

Exactly! I wonder why people are praising the governor for ripping them off. The cost of transportation increased due to fuel price increase. With CNG at lower prices, and with these buses being long enough (thus having more passenger capacity) one would naturally expect the cost of transportation with these CNG buses to be significantly lower. But trust Nigerians, they lack common sense to know when these politicians are ripping them off. It's like someone giving you #200 and collecting #500 from you and you keep praising him at same time.

What check and balances exactly? CNG buses costing same as smaller commercial buses (when should be lower) and also taking time to get filled up, you're talking about checks and balances? Lol. You obviously don't know what a rip off is. Cost of transportation with regular commercial buses increased due to increase fuel prices so naturally it's expected that these CNG buses should have been way cheaper considering the lower cost of CNG asides operational costs. The problem with most Nigerians is that they just accept face value and praise their oppressors without thinking deeply when politicians throw scraps at them and extort them.
