By-elections: Lessons Learnt So Far by NOETHNICITY(op): 3:50pm On Aug 17, 2025
The lessons so far have overwhelmingly revealed that the APC and the PDP essentially remain the dominant parties in the country, despite the coalition of political parties and bigwig politicians.
This shows how deeply entrenched the two-party dominance is in our political system, and how difficult it remains for smaller parties or new alliances to break through.

Seems Jagaban is going to have quite a smooth ride come 2027.

My problem is that Obi and all his online content creators will never learn any lesson….

Meanwhile may God continue to bless President Tinubu with more knowledge he still remains the greatest strategist in history of Nigeria…

All President Tinubu’s enemies are still confused

How are APC and PDP dominant when PDP only won one seat same with NNPP. APGA even performed better than PDP winning two seats.
Your analysis is wrong.
The by-election followed similar trend of previous ones where the party in power in an area or locality keeps winning there.
The reason is simple. Off-cycle elections are largely rigged using political machinery and structure due to low sensitisation and turnout of voters.
The exception was 2020-2022 when Buhari displayed a lot of neutrality. Now that the buccaneers are in control, it's back to business as usual with INEC actively conniving

to people like you whenever your party doesn't win in an election the election is not transparent.

Just like in every country, there are always two strong political party
US: Republican and Democrat
Uk: Conservatives and Liberal
Canada: Conservative and Liberal
South Africa: ANC and DA
Ghana: NPP and NDC
E.t.c.
Nigeria is no difference. For the coalition to work, PDP or other mushroom political party must be kpaid.

My brother, Obi is only popular on social media, same person his predecessor and successors accused of non performance while in office as governor.

I repeat, non of the former governors in Anambra from 1999 till date support Obi Presidential ambitions.

The stunts he pulled during the 2023 was based just on ethnicity and religion. Such sentiment will fail in 2027 as Asiwaju has proven to be a trusted leader by every meaningful Nigerians both home and in diaspora.

As it stands today, Obi may not get any platform to even contest 2027 Presidential elections, because he seeks sentiment to get Presidential ticket and no one will handover to him except on a contest.

Also, every political parties will be wary to deal with him considering how he messed up Labour Party just in less than 2 yrs .

It's getting dawn on everybody how 2027 is going to be a walk over for Asiwaju.

God bless Nigeria.

PDP that won one is better than APGA that won two yesterday. And don't forget that PDP already have more governors, senators and house of reps more than APGA which serves as Cushing effect for PDP. APGA never threaten APC at all outside Anambra, but PDP gave APC chase of its life in some other states. Atimes winning votes difference was not up to 100. This shows PDP is still the only strongest opposition party. If anything happens to APGA in its one state loosing, then it might die out. See that parties they called ADC and LP, they are just mere political jokers. That yesterday election will shape opinions of many other political leaders to decamp to APC if they are really hungry and need food like Amechi. Obi, El-rufai, Atiku, Aregbe,.Amechi etc will tell themselves some truths when they are lonely that they are just wasting time. The only thing that can save some of them now is to humble themselves like FFK and some others to decamp.

Even though FFK is not elected now, he must be enjoying something at the background or gets access to contracts that puts food on his table steady. Obi should stop wasting his donation or digging boreholes with hope he will get votes in the north that will make become president. If he wants to do humanitarian service that has no intrisic political ambition, he should go ahead; but doing it with hope of securing their votes may end up in sorry state.

Obi is exposing himself more as being incompetent when he dishes out fake statistics and criticism everything government does without giving room to occasional praising good policies of government under guise he wants to be seeing as viable opposition will only backfire at him. Where are the cho cho cho Amechi, El-rufai now, they must be regretting when they are lonely what arrogance has brought to them. If they were humbled, by now they would have been well respected in this Tinubu administration.

So you actually expect a coalition not up to 2 months old to win any of these bye elections?

It is only in black Africa that people expect things like this.

We want to host world cup we start 6 months to the time but whites start preparing 8 years to the time.

We want to participate in an international even we start preparing 3 months to the time while saner people begin even 2 years to the time.

This sort of mentality is the real why anyone would expect ADC to defeat over 10 year old parties APC and PDP in the bye elections.

Jeez.

Nothing like lesson anywhere.

You're not really making much sense
Did APC ever praise any good policy of PDP when they were in opposition? Even attacking boko haram, APC called it an attack against the north
Same APC is today padding statistics up and down to cover their failure in governance.
As for elections, check out throughout the country, all the major political thugs are now with APC. This is the first time in Nigerian history that all political thugs are in one party. That's because APC is giving them free hand to rob people through transport and garage.
Again, it shows you don't know anything to think Obi is not enjoying this administration. Has his import license been withdrawn? Even the naira devaluation, he's one of those enjoying it the most since he has shares in banks while folks like you are left to grapple with high prices and suffering and smiling.
PDP as a party is already comatose. That's why they are losing elected members day and night. Even the ones that won yesterday, by next week they'll decamp. How does that make PDP strong? The elections were majorly rigged. That's why the winners reflected the party in power across states

It's not about ADC, it's about APC not relinquishing their strongholds

Whether you like it or not, those within ADC have learnt they need to start acting fast on how to have stakes in APC strongholds. That's a lesson

You don't just sit back and assume that Nigerians would turn up for you in 2027. Now, they know what states to concentrate their energies on. That's a lesson learnt

It is a lesson to learn that APC still retain the trophy despite noise of bad economy coming from the opposition

It is a lesson that coalition has no grassroot to dislodge APC now and in future election.

It is a lesson that the mantra of Masses verses APC is just a hogwash and the appropriate slogan should have been masses vs coalition.

It is a lesson that the masses are still massively in support of APC regardless what minority like you think.

Stop writing unintelligently
Do you know any political thug in Anambra before now? If Anambra has political thugs, the residents will know them and will confirm to you that they are either APGA as the ruling party or APC
You should also be smart enough to know that political thugs move interstate. Thugs can be imported from Imo or Ebonyi to carry out an assignment and return back. We used to see this a lot in the SW. Even Igboho once talked about going to Osun to fight for PDP in the PDP days.
Be applying common sense pls

I don't care about your lessons..

I only care to say that it is not a lesson to say that APC and PDP are still the predominant parties,, there is no lesson in him telling us this.

And pls let's stop playing the ostrich in this fantastically corrupt enclave.

Let's stop pretending we are having elections here when;
1. The President appoints the INEC chairman and consequently all the INEC commissioners.
2. Elections are still highly influenced by the sharing of 5k and 10k on election day.
3. Voters are still being intimidated and chased from polling stations.
4. Glitches are still being experienced at elections.

So spare me the hogwash about voters being interested in APC or about grassroots or flower roots.

Be real, stop kidding yourself.
