Where did you learn that Haruna Ishola was linked in any form to Fuji music? He was not.
Barrister was not just a pioneer, he created Fuji music!

My favourites are Barrister and Fela.
But I like playing Omoruwa and Haruna when having a quarrel with madam and I want to pepper her body small with those Yoruba songs laced with some proverbs, idiomatic expressions and some eebu!
Fela travelled to Ghana and joined a band there for 2 years (1967-69) to learn Afrobeat. He was later joined in the same band by Hugh Masekela of South Africa
But he was very popular because of his activism and controversial songs in pidgin English which made his songs travel far.

Fela was global because he sang in e languages, English, peigon English and Yoruba.
So he had a very wide audience compared to the other 3.
You can't be singing in just q dialect and go global, your music won't even stay long before it's forgotten

What kind of comparison is this? Ayinla, Haruna, and Barry are folk musicians, unlike Fela, who fused Western styles with his Yoruba roots. Also, Fela deviated from the Yoruba folk music style of praise-singing and employed protest and attack against perceived injustice. Fela rebelled against his father's religion, Christianity, and adopted African traditional religions. He repudiated the Yoruba music style of serenading patrons and engaged in protest songs. He was a rebel musician, while the others were conformists. This is not to take anything away from their legendary status but to put things into perspective. We shouldn't compare apples to oranges. Fela may belong to the same milieu as the aforementioned musicians, but he's far incomparable in appeal and reach to the others. He's the most prominent and influential musician to emerge from Africa. Fela is incomparable to anyone for now.

My madam don pack all my Ayinla, 32 cassettes and she dumped them inside dustbin for the City Council to throway. I went to the Council to inquire where they recycle waste, and when I got there, there was no way to search for my cassettes. Now there is no cassette to play on my radio. So I play my Ayinla on my phone anytime madam starts her Eve or Jezebel behaviour
