The United States government has announced a new requirement for all visa applicants to disclose their social media activity covering the past five years.

In a statement posted on X by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria, applicants are expected to provide all usernames or handles they have used across different social media platforms within that period when completing the DS-160 visa application form.

The Mission emphasized that applicants must certify the accuracy of the information provided before signing and submitting their forms.

It further cautioned that failure to comply with the directive could lead to visa denial and possible ineligibility for future applications.

The post reads, “Visa applicants are required to list all social media usernames or handles of every platform they have used from the last 5 years on the DS-160 visa application form.

“Applicants certify that the information in their visa application is true and correct before they sign and submit. Omitting social media information could lead to visa denial and ineligibility for future visas.”

The amnesty international has noticed that over 60% of asylum escapees seeking refuge in western countries are majorly Muslims. One now wonders why Muslims usually like to seek refuge in haram countries of infidels instead of fellow Islamic countries like where they are accustomed to living 🤔
