I have always maintained it. If there's going to be any semblance of an advanced economy in Nigeria. Lagos is going to be the first state to achieve it.

The reason being that it strives to employ brilliant people to head its various agencies.
Why has 26 years of ebilokan a-looter master plan failed to yield the advance economy instead of the waterless glorified ghetto of barely educated agberos in the less than 5% public schools?

Any explanation huh

Lawmaker scores Lagos Water Corporation low

A Lagos State lawmaker, Mr Saka Fafunmi, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of the state Water Corporation.

Fafunmi, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), said in Ikeja that the corporation had not been able to justify statutory allocations to it.

The lawmaker, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 at the assembly, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the corporation had the capacity to generate much fund internally through water rates but had relied solely on government funding because of poor performance.

'' Anyone that is using water will be willing to pay for it; the corporation has not been giving us water.

"Is there any new community that Water Corporation has given water? People depend on boreholes; even government estates have industrial boreholes.

"Why do we keep pumping money into an agency that does not give us the desired results?'' he asked.

He noted that the Adiyan Waterworks was located at Ifako-Ijaiye, where many of the residents had resorted to digging boreholes as a means of getting water.

''A lot of people are falling sick because they don't drink clean water.

''In the same compound, where you have sewage, is where you have a borehole.

''There is no way you can manage the sewage that it will not leak and pollute the water; everyone drinking such is drinking contaminated water,'' he said.

The lawmaker urged the corporation to increase water reticulation and supply to residents.

Is the train capable of reaching every part of lagos?
Re: Why Are Lagos Metro Trains So Clean? (Video) by smallsmall: 1:31pm On Aug 18, 2025
You can see the usual Government-paid bots floating propaganda, to justify their allowance.

Why are they not talking about the deplorable State and Federal Roads in Lagos?

Why are they not talking about the perennial flooding that keeps recurring year-in, year out?

Why are they not talking about every house having to dig a borehole because Government have failed to provide them with pipe borne water?

Why are they not talking about the high cost of accommodation, since Govt, if it does at all, builds less than 50Units of Housing (which they even distribute among the Elites), for over 25Million people of Lagos?

Why are they not talking about the Cost of Food items, with families in Lagos competing with families in Gaza, for who can produce the most malnourished Children?

Everything in this Government is 10%, the remaining 90% is Propaganda.
More Effort and Money is invested in apid, Online Propagandist, than is real performance.

I've been inside metro trains all over the world.

But Lagos city metro trains are a different class.

Extremely clean inside.

Back when they were still building this project, many predicted that the whole thing would be ruined by dirty Lagosians packing their market wares and all this funny stuff into the train.

Some said people would even carry their goats and hens that they're selling into the trains etc.

But the network has been up for some years now, and expanding with new lines, yet, with no sign of such deterioration.

In fact the opposite is the case.

In cleanliness, Lagos trains and train stations surpass what you'll see in London, New York and all these places.

I think we underestimate ourselves too much in this country.

Very true. LAMATA just like many LASG agencies are run like private enterprises hiring professionals from all sectors.
lamata is one of the agencies created during the Tinubu administration. The plan was designed during his administration and but construction started under fashola administration.

what an ignorant comment….you must think this is a locomotive train. A light rail train that moves on it own designated lane is what you comparing with buses? Wait till they complete the remaining route to okokomaiko and see the volume of people it will move each day.

It is still running a short distance trip, Mile 2 to CMS no far.

By the time the trip start getting to Barracks, Iyana Iba and Okokomaiko, expect more traffic from traders. Except there's restriction, people will buy goat at Alaba Rago and carry am entering train. LASG should begin to plan for a guard-van for the blue line.

Let's stop these stupid comparisons and concentrate on what we need to make Nigeria great . Like building on the success of the metro to build more in Nigeria .

In your mind now you're trying to promote and praise your pay masters.
You forgot to tell us the train in Lagos are some countries early 80s 90s model.
I have watched Burning Train an Indian movie that was shot in 1980 and Ghost shot in 1990.
Can you compare the trains used in those movies to the ones Lagos is using now.
I ply the Mile 2 - CMS axis almost everyday with the trains. Fine they clean and neat, but they're still nothing to be compare with those I have seen use in Europe, Asia and America some years back, not to talk of their current ones. I'm not saying the managers of the Lagos train are not trying, but they can do better with those old model trains they imported from China

That's the only Nigerian city cited in that report. It means it is quite significant to the international community, that should tell you something. Yes, there are areas where improvements are needed.

But ask yourself, where are the other Nigerian states and their governors , they can't be found on the international map...
If other states and governors were pushing their weights, Lagos won't have this population issue with its attendant challenges.
