He can even do PhD in Germany after that and go for post-doc in USA. His African and European links will be vital in future research that value international collaboration.
While in Germany, he can connect with Swiss and Austrian scientists too.

Imagine a 5/5 CGPA, this is not extraordinary alone, this is genius ! He had straight As till graduation.

His course of study Cell-Biology will be more useful to Sub-Saharan Africa than Europe as such should be encouraged to pursue related research topic.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is the worst scholarship ever, they use you to fulfill their scholarly requirements and financial obligations from their funders, and leave you stranded in Europe after the completion of the program..most of the scholars have to come back to Nigeria...

They award you with half baked double masters scholarship in two different European countries that you can't even use to land juicy jobs even in Nigeria...

Most of my friends from FUTA who are currently Erasmus scholars are contacting me to see how they can migrate to the USA for some is too late already...

No doubt, Erasmus is not perfect, but with the degrees it offers and the strength of the application materials, one stands a better chance of being accepted compared to applying directly with just a BSc. This is especially true in this era of funding cuts, where everything is becoming more competitive in the US. I’ll go to Europe first; the US will come later.

FUTA students are always sharp and creative

It's alright then...

They have taken him. Once they see talent, the best of the best, they use him to develop their economies. Those are places where academic excellence is adored.
Will you blame the young man for heading to where his talent, skill will be optimised, and his efforts appreciated unlike in his country where agberos are looked at as role models while professors are considered poor folks who should not put mouth when men are talking? Have we not seen the charlatan that cannot call out 7,8,9 figure sums (as the numbers is too plenty) taking the highest office of a state over the choice of a senior advocate of nigeria? Just go on social media and see the current role models to the youths, not this kind of young man that made first class, but a big chain wearing nurtw Agbero, another brute with broken teeth (likely from violence) , another one is called a koko zaria, with his boss as the ultimate role model for the youth, ie who they want to be like when they grow up.
Anyway how wount they inspire the youth when they are seen as the toast of aggressive violence music you dance with fists raised up and punching an imaginary enemy. A brand of music where omo ita is promoted. Ofcouse we love the kind of music legends such as kollinghton, alhaji agba, ayuba and the other greats play.

Still in slavery. We celebrate going to study in another country. Will Germans celebrate coming to study in Nigeria?
