“I Can’t Eat, They Exposed My Child’s Body To The World, Compensation Must Be Paid” — Father Of Viral Ibom Air Passenger Speaks

Godwin Emmanson, father of viral Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson, has demanded compensation following the public humiliation of his daughter during a flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10, 2025.

The incident reportedly began when Comfort allegedly refused to turn off her cellphone before takeoff, a standard aviation safety requirement.

Upon arrival in Lagos, she was forcibly removed from the aircraft by airport authorities after a confrontation with the cabin crew.

During the removal, her breast was accidentally exposed, a moment captured in viral videos that have sparked widespread outrage.

Speaking about the incident in a viral video on Sunday, Godwin said: “My name is Godwin Emmanson, I don’t know why it would have happened that way. Is it because I don’t have money? I don’t know how these people are going to pay my bills. They just rubbished us. They tarnished our image. I’m not feeling myself and I don’t feel like eating anything. They exposed my child’s body, and she didn’t steal just for a mere argument. How can you treat somebody’s child like this in front of the whole world? What has government done about this—is it because I’m broke like church rat? I’m not happy. Compensation must be paid…”

Following widespread attention, Comfort was released from police custody, and the lifetime flying ban imposed on her by the Airline Operators of Nigeria was lifted.

No mind am. As much as I don't support what was done to the lady, I can confirm that's she's been used to exposing herself. That said, it's her choice to either expose the " things" or cover them. Ibom Air staff went to far? That was uncalled for. As for the baba, he should just talk about suing the airline. If he wins the case, the compensation will easily follow.

When she was poking the air hostess's face...she dint put on the white jacket....she knew she dint wear bra and her nipples were bulging thru that light top she wore... she wore that on purpose to attract randy men .... when the officials got to the plane , all she needed to do was just to follow them, no one would have dragged her ...but she decided to act like an animal , same way she acted on the ground that made them drag her to the bus... if u resist arrest, anything u see while being dragged, u have to accept.... if this happened abroad, she will also be charged for indecent exposure... she has no case ....planes have crashed in the past cos a passenger decided not to put off their phone and it interrupted pilots communication with air control and it lead to the death of over a hundred passengers.... what she did is 10 times worse than what K1 did , and she's still yet to apologise..while sentimental mentally poor fools and randy men are defending her

It's an unwritten rule of moral decency that I realise no longer exists amongst some younger females in the false believe that "exposing" themselves in a titilating manner is some kind of uplifting experience.

It is far from that, it is degrading and turns you into an object of ridicule that is not to be taken seriously except by those who want to objectify you solely as a sex object to be used and immediately dumped when finished with, what a life.

Going by the video we saw and reports we heard before the plane took off, this female is the one that can be appropriately described as wild and untamed. The airline employees were simply matching her energy which resulting in her sleeping overnight in Kirikiri.

Let us not forget that she wasn't the only female on that flight. A good friend of mine flew from Uyo to Lagos almost every weekend for a year, her privates have not once been exposed by any airline staff.

Maybe it's because she carried herself in a dignified, not arrogant, manner and followed instructions when asked to by airline staff. Funny that!
