You see once I open a long post or topic on nairaland, I will just go straight to people's comments. If I read five or six comments, I have gotten the idea of what the topic was all about. |

A nice initiative, prima facie. We in the tourism sector wait to see how the implementation will go, and the gains to be had by the stakeholders. End |

Astromania:SMH. As there's nothing to critize here, you had to look for something negative somewhere to say. As government has now decided to do it, will you go and stop them? Keeping quiet isn't a weakness especially when there's nothing constructive to say. |

Wave99:The question I always want to ask is why are the Lagos theatres spread across the state, what are they disused? This are supposed to be beacons for cultural renaissance and creative industry but they are all non functional......I should be able to go to one on a weekend to watch local theatre when I have no owanbe or pl match to watch, this is a huge economic potential being ignored a d money gone down the drain. |

Lanrelagboi:This is all well and good. Lagos likes to do the big projects, but should also focus on getting the little and simple things right!! Funny enough, these things impact the life of the citizens much more. 1. Functioning street lights across the city 2. Functioning and smart traffic lights across the city 3. Rapid repairs of potholes across the city 4. Scheduled and consistent desilting of drainages around Lagos, particulalry in the Feb to May period, before the rain gets heavy. 5. Efficient removial of filth and garbage in the city 6. More efficient transport system with intermodal BRT type buses, water and train. Just do these and do them very well, and the lives of the citizens will be made much easier. All these plenty other activities they are doing do not help the people. |

Lagos is far from perfect nor has it attained its full potential but as far as the barest minimum leadership standards are in Nigeria, no state has forward thinking, strategic and deliberate leaders like Lagos State. While some states such as Enugu, Abia, Anambra, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, Kogi, etc are currently showing glimpses of hope of what good leadership is about, Lagos is miles ahead and it'll take a lot of strategic thinking and long-term vision for any other state to level up. |
