Fun or not so fun fact. Boko Haram as we know it today wouldn't have escalated to this point if the Nigerian police while trying to protect the names of the sponsors of Boko Haram from being revealed, hadn't killed him. The Nigerian army arrested Yusuf and handed him over to the Nigerian police in handcuffs. Less than 6 hours later, Yusuf was dead. The police claimed that he was killed while exchanging fire with them. How does someone arrested and cuffed exchange gun fire?

The remaining members of the Boko Haram sect then went underground and regrouped in Sambisa. They then started a brutal campaign targeting banks to raise funds. They then used these funds to buy arms which they used against policemen exclusively. Boko Haram was only in targeting policemen initially. That was until politicians then weaponise them against Jonathan.

As they're arresting all these terrorists they should be getting rid of them. There should be no such thing as rehabilitation of violent criminals.
