Sources in the commission disclosed that government was planning to increase total allocation to the states to between 30 and 40% from the current formula which allocates 52.68%, 26.72% and 20.60% to the Federal, State and Local Governments, respectively. With current increase in FAAC allocations through subsidy removal, that's going to be a windfall to the states. Softmirror:I disagree with that part, any Governor that cannot deliver atleast 85% in his state, must be whisked away in EFCC's waiting van immediately after handing over. -Kiss the truth! |

TimeManager:What I meant by nothing concern Tinubu is the reason I added that attachment. Nobody should be crying and calling Tinubu, Tinubu, Tinubu.............hold your governors accountable. |

This man knows how to get things done. It's high time we concentrate on Governors for once. They have enough resources at their disposal to deliver lasting change in their respective states. They can initiate any feasible project, embark of empowerment schemes with ease. If your governor is not performing hmmm |

Softmirror:I get it, EFCC will even hold them by their balls, you can't get all that and squander it. -Kiss the truth! |

The minimum they should build is bus station. Some governor in the past collected allocation and stacked it in Pandora account, keep some in Fidelity bank where he has interest and keep the remaining in his warehouse

They will only highlight and amplify the part where Tinubu's salry increases. Blindness. They think that Tinubu being paid 70,000naira will make their lives better. Peak clowning. |

The mentality of this feeding bottle should stop. Let States go into full autonomy of resource control and pay tax to the FG. Until there's full resource control by states as its supposed to be in a federating system, the development of this country will be stagnated. Every achievement recorded will be at a snail spead. |

There is no solution to Nigeria problems but the leaders of the country and the law to fight it. |

This new strategy of squeezing money out of the struggling citizens via taxation and empowering state governors who have immunity is bound to fail. When the people complain, they simply mouth off "hold your governor accountable". Same governors who will be forgiven of all sins and embezzled funds as long as they decamp or are aligned with the party in power? Isn’t this what some sceptics against the subsidy removal have always feared will happen? |

Anoda Lamba.. for the gullible The wicked tinubu removed subsidy and started giving the money to governors, the governors started looting it Most govs are very happy with him, why not Most federal roads in states are bad, the govs aren't doing it they are just renovating govt houses and building hotels One miscreants will now say hold your govs accountable how? Let each state use how generated income to run and federal government intervene in critical projects Instead of this sharing sharing sharing Ordinary vat tinubu can't leave it for each state to collect and utilise Still sharing |

This is the reason all governors irrespective of party lines, favor the reelection of BAT Bat is doing right |

Zocalite:So in other words, subsidies should have remained according to your logic |

Softmirror:Tinubu's type of governance is the easiest. Generate more money and spend. No strategic planning and thinking. |

Softmirror:I like this your clarification. I think the National Orientation Agency has a lot of work to do in regards to creating this awareness. Our people are fond of calling the name of the president every now and then even he has empowered their elected leaders with enough allocation in billions so they can provide the necessary infrastructure and empowerment to their people. however, I am so sure that some bitter people will still come here to say this is audio or propaganda blah blah blah. I have no time for such. |
| Re: FG Begins Review Of Revenue Allocation Formula, More Funds To States, LG by Softmirror: 11:33am On Aug 19, 2025 |
destinychildolu:Without strategic planning the money can't even be made in the first place. Lol 😂. Tinubu is giving Governors their legitimate constitutional dues. That is what this thread is about. |
| Re: FG Begins Review Of Revenue Allocation Formula, More Funds To States, LG by Softmirror: 11:38am On Aug 19, 2025 |
reiddecuti:If you can't manage to be productive with a feeding bottle be rest assured that you can't be even under a full resource control. This is a fact. |

Zocalite:Go school you said No. This money does not belong to Tinubu, it belongs to the federation. Subsidy money on oil belongs to both FG and States and that's why the money goes into the federation account where it's being shared monthly. If Tinubu did not share it to your Governors and LG Chairmen, who are closer to the grassroots to execute projects, should Tinubu come knocking on your door to give it to you?. Try dey think small. |

Wè still dont want this. Let true power go back to the States. Let there be true restructing not these ones. Let the States be in charge of their resources and send a certain percentage to the federal government. That is how it is being done. Not this nonesense of the FG collecting all and giving a certain percentage to the States. You want to driver true growth? Let the States be powerful. Remove power from the center and give it to the States QED! |

Reviewing the application is not the problem, my concern is let them not loot the money. Any project in Nigeria is just an avenue to loot money. God help us |

Talking about low salaries seems misplaced when ordinary citizens can’t afford a decent meal. Public schools are decaying, hospitals lack essentials, and the minimum wage is a joke, yet the government obsesses over politician's pay. |
