AMINDA:I always ask them that question. Why they no longer say fish starts getting rotten from the head. That if we change the president, the other politicians including governors will not steal. This is why yorubas are well known to speak from double sides of the tongue |

Tinubu appreciate and strengthen the naira.. make the naira to have value, address and tackle inflation , the high costs of living..if the naira is appreciated, strengthen and have value against the dollars..it will make the price of fuel, diesel cheap.. and reduce inflation and also reduce the high costs of living and increase the purchasing power of Nigerians and boost the economy..all this more money given to state governors that have immunity is just to enrich the governors the more and use majority of the money for their own personal use without much tangible projects or using the money for the benefits of the people in their states |

asfrank:I genuinely feel for the people of Ogun State in all of this. Despite the substantial revenue and allocations the state receives, the level of development remains disappointingly low. Most inner roads are in terrible condition, and there seems to be little to no attention given to areas outside the capital. It’s a troubling situation. Take a trip to places like Mowe, Ifo, Ibafo, Arigbawonwo, Ofada, and Erimerunmu — there’s hardly any visible impact from either the state or local governments. In fact, the presence of local governance is practically nonexistent. Living in Ogun State really puts into perspective the kind of development Lagos State has achieved. One can only hope that the next administration in Ogun will adopt a governance model similar to Lagos, with a long-term development plan that successive governments can follow and build upon |

reiddecuti:,yes ..you are saying the truth..if there was full autonomy of resource control by the states..the uyo calabar itu high way road would had been rehabilitated, upgraded long time ago but still waiting for federal government to rehabilitate and upgrade the road...ibom deep seaport by now would had start working by now and creating jobs for the youths..if there was full autonomy for resources control by states but still waiting for federal government intervention on the ibom deep seaport..so all this waiting for federal government to intervene in a project delays development in the country |

It's time to hold local government chairmen to account too. How many times have you heard any chairman complaint about not getting funds. Yet we see very little development |

babayinka77:Ogun people are now claiming lagosians. The state will continue to rot, becomes undeveloped and Non existent of infrastructure because the indigenes of ogun has abandoned their to answer lagosians. At least you are been honest about the Bad situation in ogun state unlike your brothers who turn deaf ears and blind on bad governance in ogun. |

The federal govt are not doing this because of the poor masses , they are doing all of this because of 2027 , they want endorsements from the state govt.. if this is really for the people , first you will ask states what they use the previous money for .. |

Softmirror:Precisely. The dumbest talk here is the claim of some that Tinubu is giving Governors more money to loot. Simply senseless. |

brainbox1000:Ignorant talk. What you demand is the primary responsibility of the respective State houses of assembly not the FG. The FG's role is essentially related to promoting transparency not withholding funds or demanding "what they use the previous money for". Majority of Nigerians are guided by sentiments, emotions and one prejudice or the other making them think and talk ignorantly. This is part of the reason we are not making progress as a nation. You should task the "people" you speak on behalf of, beginning with yourself, to stop being lazy and get involved with what you assume is the responsibility of the FG. They should take their leaders to task much better, and demand accountability, rather than flee to Lagos and Abuja to then be complaining about FG this and FG that in relation to the poor performance of their Governors.
