Fresh reports online reveal that Davido, his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke have allegedly been funding workers’ salaries in Osun State from their personal pockets.

This disclosure was made by former Ondo State governor, Bode George, during an interview on Nigeria Info FM Lagos 99.3.

Speaking about the withheld local government funds by the Federal Government of Nigeria, Bode George said that the trio mentioned earlier have been paying salaries of workers from their pockets for the past 6 months now.

Bode George said that Osun State has not been paid local government allowances by the Federation account, owing the state over N5billion.

He added that the last time he had a conversation with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, he said that he is considering dumping the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Adeleke's family is a lovely family, there is no doubt about it...But I will caution Nigerians not to be too quick to take what Bode George says; he is a politician who is extremely bitter towards this administration. Folks like Bode George gets sick whenever great things are happening in Nigeria. Instead of taking his words, I will prefer Governor Adeleke to come out and clarify things.
Don't misunderstand my point; yes, Bode George's statement may be trueful, but do not let us get carried away until we hear from Governor Adeleke.

What happened to the big monthly allocation the FG now give state governments? Osun get more than 10B naira per month as FAAC. Governors like Peter Mbah have said months ago that because of the PMS subsidy removal, states no longer borrow to pay salary. They are now clearing their debts.

If this is true, it's enough reason to impeach Ademola Adeleke. Osun State is not a family business. If, big IF, they are using their family fund to pay salaries, what's their expected gain because it's 100% certain they are not running charity?
