I would like to know what it takes to get a domain name. The process involves and probably cost.
Kindly help with information

It doesn’t take anything to get a domain. Just purchase the domain name of your choice, just the way you pay for normal product and the domain will be registered for you.

Buying a domain name and having a website associated with that domain name are two completely different things.

You buy domain names from businesses called “domain registrars” like Namecheap or Godaddy. They have a search bar or something where you enter the domain name you’d like to buy eg techgee.com or techgee.xyz and they tell you whether that domain name is available. If available, you go ahead to purchase it using your Debit Card.

Why would I be joking. Not everyone is a techie or have knowledge about stuffs like these. That's why we ask to learn. Someone told me a ridiculous amount hence I decided to come to nairaland
