Funny isn't it? Muslims in Nigeria rioted because a pageant was slated to hold in the country.
That wasn't the reason . Don't be misinformed. It was a riot which was ignited by incitement in the newspaper that Prophet Mohammed would have lusted for one of the pageant had he been alive to witness the event. Whether the writer wrote such out of ignorance or was deliberate to provoke is not what I can judge. But the lesson is, know that words are powerful. Hence use them wisely.

The Northern Almajiris killed for various reasons then when Obasanjo was in power. They stopped when Yar 'Adua came on.
Killed Corpers again in 2011 when GEJ was there, stopped in 2015 when Buhari took over.

The carried Russian flags and wanted to start killing people again when Tinubu came on board. But Tinubu no gree.

What was written was that Prophet Muhammad wouldn't have minded marrying one of the contestants of the pageant.
It wasn't enough to cause killings of people, but it did.

I had said in one religion related thread that 80% of Violence and terrorism are Islam attached and the anti Bots ban me till December 2026 grin. But that is the truth, you can't talk about religious violence without mentioning isla***s. That is too bad, religion should unite not separate

First of all, there should be mutual respect for each other, swift justice and heavy punishment for offenders.

You are calling Northerners aboki but when they call you derogatory names, you start crying and those who weren't there when you were calling them names will want to defend you.

That's how fight starts.

Boko Haram started when Yaradua was in power. Infact he was the one that mismanaged the situation. He gave a commanding order to our securities to kill and the abused that command killing indiscriminately.

Muhammad Yusuf, the founder of 'Boko Haram' was apprehended alive but wasn't allowed to be investigated he was outrightly killed under custody. And ever since, then, it has been a fierce vengeance one which his recently arrested son would believe in his own heart that he is fighting a government responsible for his father's death despite surrender or say apprehended alive outside being judged formally by the Nigerian Constitutional laws.

Was there any need of dragging Prophet Muhammad into a stake that ordinarily is against his teachings?!

Shehu Sani was recently invited to be a judge in a beauty pageant but he declined stating obvious reasons rooted in his religious belief.

That was totally uncalled for, a journalist should understand the 'psychology of crowd' .

In Nigeria? Are you for real? Even if that were to be the case on the world stage, is it supposed to be a contest of who killed more? But your statement is false, anyways. Islam and Muslims have been the cause of much more slavery, racism and deaths in the world than any other human reasons. That's a fact!!

So that we don’t forget.

The younger generation also needs to know what these creatures are. History must not be erased.

Remember this:

Matthew 10:16 – “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

And also:

Exodus 22:2-3 – If a thief breaks in at night, defending yourself is not counted as murder.

Nehemiah 4:17-18 – The people carried weapons while rebuilding the wall to protect themselves.

Proverbs 22:3 – “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”

Luke 22:36 – Jesus tells disciples, “Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one” (preparation for danger).

To have peace, sometimes you must prepare for war.

If not that GEJ pampered them and allowed to fester. If he had used maximum force and crushed every politician that wanted to hijack the situation; if he had used the State intelligence apparatus to detect financiers and importers of arms into these people's hands and had crushed them with a strong political will. If he had purged the army. if he had used the State might without fear of the North to crush any Fulani and Kanuri insurgency on time, people like you and other Northerners feeling special and untouchable will be quiet today.

Till this very moment, it's still a shame to be a Nigerian. Try entering other countries not even Europe or America I meant African nations and see how you will be treated. Even Benin cefas is making us look bad.

Thank God for Life
I Was in Malali Kaduna when the riot broke out, it's well, lost our Pastor(father to my friends) to those blood thirsty muslims. R.I.P Dr.

I still also remember the Sharia crisis too that I hid in NSRMEA quarters after FRCN.

Religious crisis has reduced

This is one of the biggest delusional psychosis ever propounded as far as Nigeria is concern. Lord Lugard and his British co-conspirators did a terrible mistake that the question of shared or divided nationhood will continue to dogged this contraption of an entity.

This is nation was never programmed to be one because of a wide difference in historical origin, value systems, ideological inspiration, ethno-religio-regional, and above all, the politico-military history of this nation.
You think it was a mistake? It was their plan all along! They know it would be hard for there to be cohesion btw the North and the South due to major differences like you stated hence this would guarantee we never unite and become a formidable opponent against them in the future.
Re: 2002 Miss World Riots In Nigeria And Aftermath (Throwback Photos) by appleous:
Nigeria still isn't sure till today if it wants to be a Muslim theocracy or a secular country.

Northern Nigeria has more in common with Niger or Chad in terms of culture, language and religion than they do with the average southern Nigerian.

Clearly those who describe Nigeria as being a mere geographical contraption hurriedly cobbled together by people who never wished us well, were absolutely correct.

Nigeria as a country shouldn't exist as presently constituted

The South East is bleeding every day. A governor in the South East has affirmed that the killers are his own tribes men. Of course a tribe prominently Christians and a few self acclaimed Jews. So you can see that in human affairs violence seems inevitable. The best we can do is to try as much as possible to manage our affairs in a manner that will prevent violence from occuring and insecurity too and when such beats our pro active measures how do we react so has to have the least of casualties.
