It was a riot which was ignited by incitement in the newspaper that Prophet Mohammed would have lusted for one of the pageant had he been alive to witness the event. Whether the writer wrote such out of ignorance or was deliberate to provoke is not what I can judge. But the lesson is, know that words are powerful. Hence use them wisely.
