PDP Inaugurates 110-Member Organising Committee Ahead of 2025 National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a 110-member Organising Committee to oversee preparations for its 2025 elective national convention scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The inauguration, announced in a statement on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, follows the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to convene the convention as part of efforts to strengthen internal democracy and reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the statement, the committee will be responsible for coordinating logistics, ensuring compliance with party guidelines, and delivering a smooth convention. The committee is chaired by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, with Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State serving as Deputy Chairman, Kabir Tanimu Turaki, SAN, as Deputy Chairman II, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State as Secretary, and Senator Adolphus Wabara representing the Board of Trustees as Chairman.

Other prominent members include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki, David Mark, and Anyim Pius Anyim; serving and former governors such as Bala Mohammed, Ifeanyi Okowa, Samuel Ortom, Nyesom Wike, Udom Emmanuel, and Ibrahim Dankwambo; as well as party stalwarts like Olusegun Mimiko, Liyel Imoke, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Uche Secondus.

The PDP described the committee as a blend of experienced leaders and emerging voices tasked with ensuring a credible and transparent convention that reflects the will of party members.

The 2025 national convention in Ibadan is expected to be a decisive moment for the PDP, as the party prepares to elect new national officers and set the tone for its strategies going into the 2027 general elections.

The only formidable Party today is APC. The rest just dey fumble left and right.

Atiku resigned from PDP but upon smelling rat, he has refused to register as ADC member.

If you want to be useless and confused Politically, just decamp or associates yourself with ADC

It is simply a matter of copy and paste. PDP couldn't even be bothered to update their NEC list for a party convention. Atiku and David Mark have moved on. They should update their party list and move on too.

This is what I wronte sometime ago, Atiku will deny ever resigning. He wanted to resign in secret but someone exposed the letter.

The second reason is that Obi wanted to play a fast one on him. He wanted to go and exploit Atiku's exist from the PDP by going back to PDP.

Even though this news is not confirmed but we can all see that the kolision ceremony was just a get-together party. David Mark will be the one who has been fooled the most.

The person who released that resignation to the public did him dirty, now he cannot deny not resigning (but wait o, politicians non get shame o, d man fit talk say he non resign say that letter we saw was AI generated, after all one guy like data denied ever meeting Abacha after using his mouth to tell us he had previously met Abacha)

You can't just strike out someone's name from the NEC without officially ratifying their defection. The national body is yet to meet and ratify the resignation of members, they only resigned in their wards . They just copied and pasted the existing list pending official ratification of their defection.
