Another Lagos Female Councillor, Zainab Adeshewa Shotayo Dies After Brief Illnes

The only female elected councillor in Odiolowo Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Lagos, Zainab Adeshewa Shotayo, has passed away after a brief illness.

She was inaugurated just three weeks ago and served as chief whip of the 6th legislative arm, representing ward C3.

Her death has deeply shaken the council secretariat in Ilupeju, making it the second death among the state’s newly elected councillors.

The first death, also a female, was that of Oluwakemi Rufai, the councillor for Ward C1 in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, who died a week ago.

According to circulating reports, Shotayo passed away on Monday, August 18, after a brief illness.

Like her deceased colleague she was the only elected female councillor in the council.

Both were also elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress and were among councillors inaugurated about three weeks ago.

The council chairman, Seyi Jakande, mourned her passing, describing her as the youngest and one of the most inspiring leaders on the council.

He praised her commitment to service and her role as a model for young women in leadership.

Despite all her struggling and hustling to become a councilor, she died just some days after her inauguration... May God forgive her sins

What is really the issue? Elected politicians just passing away after inauguration in this dispensation. Perhaps they have underlining health challenges. God's rest madam.

In life, if you are not serving God, make sure you are serving the devil. Don't just serve them; make sacrifices to them. However, the beauty of genuinely serving God is that He's the greatest of the greatest.

On the other hand, if you serve the devil, someone serving a higher god can waste you at will and that will mark the end of your story

Pretty sure both deaths,being politicians in Nigeria,would be attributed to "spiritual attack" from their political opponents vying for their offices.
No one would bother to know if they had health issues,if it was cancer,kidney or heart problem they had been managing with traditional means,naively believing they were ailments "thrown" upon them by opponents and thus could not be cured by orthodox medicine.

It happened in my area, she resume office on Monday and died on Monday just a week, she only complain of head the next thing she is gone, what a painful loss
