Some stories are so strange they sound like folklore, and the tale of Araromi-Oke, a once-thriving Yoruba settlement between today’s Oyo, Osun, and Ekiti boundaries, is one such mystery.

There's no boundary that merge the three states mention together.

So the village does not exist, it's just a story jaree

That's another possible angle to the story... Not folklore.

Who started asking people to leave Lagos?… if it’s not envy, why will you ask people you sold your lands to, to leave the land…

If you really want the strangers to leave, calculate the equivalent of all their properties and pay them back with the current rate, because those properties were sold to them with the rate of the time the property was sold.

If you do this and they don’t leave, then you will be correct to do as it suits you.

Stop feeling bad that people you sold all your lands to are making it big

A big shame, so funny and disgusting how some of you people are so obsessed with ownership of Lagos and it has become your big problem after you probably migrated there for greener pastures!

They didn't disappear. All of them migrated to Lagos and start claiming lagosians. That's why Yorubas has no villages. It doesn't exists.

If you tell them to post the pictures of their villages. They can't. Why ? Because it doesn't exists. They are lagosians cheesy grin

I was there. let me explain what happened.

The king died and it was expected as tradition that when and if a king dies, he should be buried alongside somtin called Abobaku(like a 2-i-c or the kings aides kinda) some1 who is selected usually gets pick as a new king is installed.

So when the King died, the abobaku guy ran away coz he knows he'll be buried alongside the king.

So when he wasn't found, oracle states that the head of kings aides should choose any1 to replace the run away guy.

The info went viral. So everyone bolted with their families and abandoned the village to avoid been chosen.

The depth of some people's imaginations in storytelling can make some imaginary tales as real as realities.

This must be a myth. I heard people there just disappeared without trace. How could this happen?
I heard of a story like that. The man was said to be an interstate transporter. He came back home on this faithful day,and a lady fair in completion, was looking for directions. The man stepped out,and was walking with her to show her how to navigate the area. The family said it's been over 50+ years ago,the man went without trace. His body wasn't found,he just vanished with the lady like that .

His kids then ,are grand mothers now..

Things dey occur o. Who no went doesn't knew
