Danny is a shrewd business man not ever in a hurry to throw money around, and Thomas Frank has always made his choices clear from day 1.

His player choices have been:

Bryan Mbeumo
Yoane Wissa
Eberechi Eze
Morgan Gibbs-White

Richarlison is and has not been the top choice of past Spurs managers tbh... He just happens to be available when nothing or no one better is.

The player choices is based on what information? Note that the media have been trying to guess Spurs moves in transfer market for over 3 years now. Don't be surprised to see a move that noone predicted happen.

Have you seen an Igbo Arsenal fan? He's been there supporting the club since 2000 and still here till date. Very loyal fans.

And Arsenal seems to be the only club where you'll find more Nigerians given opportunities at a time.

Arsenal have been chasing Eze since. He is also an ex Arsenal player. Palace and the agent basically forced Arsenal to pay more than Arsenal wanted.

The story you have written above is what somebody has dreamt up Nollywood style.

What I posted was the summarised version. Both Arsenal and Tottenham were trying to pinch pennies in the deal even though it was public knowledge that the player prioritised Arsenal over spurs. Tottenham actually backed out first because they felt they stood no chance with the playernas long as Arsenal was also bidding for him. Arsenal eventually backed out of the negotiations because they felt their priority was a left winger not an attacking midfielder like Eze. That was what made Tottenham jump back into negotiations since Arsenal was no longer in contention. They wanted a player exchange that will lower the asking price but palace refused and negotiation kept dragging. It took Kai Harvetz injury to go rush back to bid for Eze after they saw how weak their frontline has gotten. The rest is history

Having interest in a player and discussing terms is not tantamount to bidding for him.

Arsenal held an interest and were assessing their options.

Havertz injury conspired to trigger the recent flurry of events,and they had to at the least match Spurs bid, logically.

Had Havertz injury never happened Eze would have been a Spud.
