I see lack of confidentiality ethics on the part of the private printing firm here. As a good firm, the privacy of job in your custody is key, irrespective of the client. Thank God, ever since I have been handling printing of documents, exams, tutorial materials in volumes, there has never been any complain whatsoever. LoL 😆 From 🔥 fire to frying pan. Federal Government Press,as it is positioned today, can't handle the job independently. The agency lacks necessary tools to do the job. Dilapidated machines. Many qualified hands have Retired from the service after attaining mandatory 35 years of service or 60yrs. As a result, printing jobs are carried out outside the premises of the company. Majorly to Shomolu and Mushin areas where printing houses are many. So, how do you expect secrecy or privacy of the job? It will surely leak. Again, the management structure is flawed. The company is yet to get a substantive Federal Government Printer to handle all printing jobs of the company. They have acting government printer, a Lady,who is on GL 15,and not a core professional. As a result, printing jobs of the agency lacks necessary professional touch. As an Insider, something has to be done urgently by the government to revitalize the agency. Not the present state it finds itself. It's a good idea,all agencies print their works at FGN for sake of confidentiality,but it has to be given necessary filips before this policy thrust is carried out. |

ini4brandon:No .. they want to force the MDAs to patronize the Govt owned Printing Press..same way Lagos is doing. Most of the State owned Presses are inefficient, grossly obsolete equipment, poorly trained staff and extremely bureaucratic business practice hence the preference for Private owned companies who deliver on time and professionally. Any leaked memo is done with MDA staff NOT Private Printing Presses. |
