Yes the God that owns you is the one you should tend first but as we have popular human beings we also have popular Gods and those are who Yoruba call orisa. Orisas are spirits of prominent ancestors and we also have the God grid that controls both heaven and Earth.

When you do evil you drop in empathy rank moving closer to elimination from heaven. If evil is your expertise gained from several incarnations, then there is no way you can escape elimination from heaven in the long run. When you are on an incarnation as an expert evil doer, other onlooking spirits will work hand in hand for you to lose debates and get eliminated from heaven.
If you are praying to someone whose expertise is evil, you might be praying to nothing since the person may have been eliminated from heaven

Jesus can't help anyone from where he is the only thing Jesus does from heaven is to join his disciples when they are deliberating on the work he assigned to them regarding that he said:

Again I tell you truly, if two of you on earth agree concerning anything of importance that they should request, it will take place for them on account of my Father in heaven. So it's when they gather to deliberate on how to carry out what Jesus assigned to them that's what brought them together with Jesus but for private needs each disciple must pray directly to our Father and God {Matthew 6:9} who is God and father to both Jesus and all his disciples {John 20:17} but we must pray to God in the name of His only begotten Son who connected us back to our Father and God!

Where most people gets confused is when Jesus said:

The last statement is what confused them because Jesus is the messenger of God who loves humans the most {Daniel 12:1-3} so he is the angel that's standing for the salvation of God's people therefore when we pray to God regarding our ministry Jesus is the same person God will send to come and assist us. That doesn't mean he is the one we are praying to it's his father who will give him the order to start acting that we are praying to! Psalms 110:1-2
