Nigeria Targets $1Billion Deals At TICAD9 – Tinubu by TimeManager(op): 4:13pm On Aug 21, 2025
President Bola Tinubu has said that Nigeria is participating in the ongoing 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) with a clear mission to unlock over $1billion in trade and investment opportunities.

Writing on his X handle on Wednesday, the President stated that Nigeria’s engagement at the summit, themed “Co-create innovative solutions with Africa”, was anchored on green innovation, industrial growth, and youth empowerment.

“Our participation aims to unlock $1Billion+ in trade & investment, drive green innovation & industrial growth, expand opportunities for our youth, and position Nigeria as the heart and gateway to West Africa’s vast market,” he wrote.

Describing the conference as a launchpad for lasting development and global partnership, Tinubu noted that Nigeria’s push was built on “technology, talent and trust.”

He added that Nigeria will continue to play a leadership role on the continent, declaring that: “Nigeria will lead, and Africa will rise.

The escalation of the booth brouhaha was unnecessary. Why do we always focus on trivialities.

Obi should have focused on how to have people who will stand as party agents for him during elections. He had empty representations across the country who could have stood as witnesses and could have defended his votes as party agents during elections.

How?
Nothing to show Nigeria produces anything locally.
Our booth was empty.
If we had an iota of shame, we wouldn’t have attended.

Tinubu will use 4 years to stabilise economy like this.

Absolutely nothing is being done to move Nigeria forward.

They are just selling the country piece by piece meal to foreigners in the name if foreign investment.

Nigeria is not a sovereign nation
Re: Nigeria Targets $1Billion Deals At TICAD9 – Tinubu by Eriokanmi: 4:49pm On Aug 21, 2025
Indeed. With that empty Nigerian stand as seen yesterday at the venue grin? We're waiting for their usual organised business meeting on all media channels which will be aired for one week when they come back. Their gullible supporters wouid begin clapping. Nigeria needs urgent rescue.

They stormed Qatar, even with so much entourage, no results on the propaganda investments

They visited UAE, no results on investments.

Omo, how do you guys reason?
Your president was in a country for an internationally attended event, yet yor showcase booth was EMPTY!!!!!

Yet, you are saying it's trivial?
Are you kidding me?

Private citizens had to stand in while the folks who were probably paid to represent were out gallivanting like your president.

Please be objective. Call a spade a spade, and not an agricultural instrument.

It is a trivial matter. The President's focus is not on such 4x4 exposition.

But is this anything compared to the amount that corruption has stolen in this country? Nigeria is one of the richest countries on earth. Yet it is Chatham House, IMF, World Bank and others that are running the country for us.

And these Brentwood institutions can never be in your best interest.
