my friend offered me teaching job in a private school, the salary is 40k. I have been contemplating to accept since last 3days, but seeing this your thread, I have decided I will not do it.

I think you should go with the option of serving wherever you're posted. You already know what's obtainable in your home state and you know what you're capable of achieving there. However, going out of your region and comfort zone gives you some experience you might miss out on if you're home. Even if you have to come back to your home state after your service, go out there, get the experience, and who knows, you might end up learning something very valuable that will turn your life around while serving.

The home advantage will always be home waiting for you.

This is my own suggestion tho, seek further guidance for validation or diverse opinion before you take a decision.

So, ladies and married women don't need money ba? That 30k cannot do anything for even a secondary school leaver to eat in a month without paying any other bill.

Speak for yourself because these days, small money cannot feed anyone, transportation, school fees, accommodations, utilities and taxes is so high that 300,000k per month no dey reach not to talk of 30k!

How do you cope with such amount ? I once had a similar job years ago for 30k and i was living with my family. The money wasn't even enough.

If you can teach ODE, Complex analysis and vector Calulus, download the new CCMAS curriculum for undergraduate students and teach these courses online.
Also include a playlist for WAEC and JAMB mathematics.

Gather past questions of different universities and solve them online

So many students will be watching your videos online and you will be making cool cash online with time

I have said it before that both the teaching and the pay are all fraud and exploration in Nigeria if checked from all parties: school, teacher, learner, Ministry and parents

You don't get it, I graduated from Unilorin truly, the problem is I only recently have been able to get better job offers.

My education has never and will never be a fault, it's just the state of the nation economy.

And some , with the ad ons , they get up to 8M per annum.

I currently teach in private school earning 45k. It is 3 years of my stay in the school without any savings. The salary goes into food stuff. Just recently when i went to market I realized that my salary can't get me a decent cloth. In summary teaching job will get you no where .

Its the ministry and council that make owners of schools to pay little though.
The proprietor/proprietress are being ripped!
