Night Shyamalan includes his Daughters in his project even when it's clear other people could do a better job, even one of the daughters had to admit, she got the chance to adapt one of Ireland's biggest books, simply because of her last name.

My point is, nepotism exists everywhere, and i am not even mad about it. No parent who can certainly soft lunch thier kid's career, will fold their hands and not do it, because that kid being successful in any field, tells on great on their own parenting too.

DDL has always insisted on the gimmick that he his retired after bagging an unprecedented 3 Oscars, it was always gonna take, some sweet savoring nepotism to bring him back...so fairs i guess

i have been calling out people because some nigerian twitter noise has led to a gross misunderstanding of the word nepo baby. the average nigerian now thinks being a nepo baby means you were born into the upper classes. when it actually means you are the child of successful professionals whose career path you are following in. and as you and abduleez1this is extremely prevalent in hollywood. it is just that it is only the likes of jaden and willow smith we tend to notice. RDJ, keifer sutherland, carrie fisher, nicholas cage [changed his name yadda yadda] , drew barrymore, gwenth paltrow - the list of people with families ties going back is looong

and like you said it is what any parent would want to do. if your pikin is following in the industry or profession you work in and you have your own network and reputation, of course the pikin will be on the inside track

Bruhhhh.😩😩.... not saying people don't blow up out of thin air, but nepotism is the oldest trick in the book not only in showbiz, but in corporate world as well... nothing says, this fella is a 100% fit for this job like a nepo glazed reference on one's CV.

I know it's a long stretch, but i dare say nepotism might be a greater career needle mover than actual talent and hard work ngl, and if one has all three, oh the unprecedented doors it will open.

Still in early development and data gathering, but i am currently working on a paper, roughly titled, ""How Nepotism is the Greatest Talent, there is", ooh i just know i will make some interesting finds 🙈

Thats no Superman....thats a mini-man!

Even if there was an intention for Gunn to introduce other superheroes,superman should be the focal point in terms of strength not weakness!

This is my biggest problem with James Gunn’s Superman.

He’s the weakest Superman I’ve ever seen.

The way Superman gets captured so easily in this movie bothers me. Yes, he’s vulnerable to Kryptonite—but it's not that easy to render him powerless. The Man Of Steel would definitely fight back when facing a life-threatening situation.

2) Clark Kent time travels in Smallville in several episodes
3) In the JL cartoon series, Superman did it too
4) Yes, Superman did time travel in the comics too

Flash is faster but both of them can time travel.

Time travel Superman was Pre-Crisis Superman and it's not considered as fully canon anymore. You can say Semi canon.
Recent iterations of comic book Superman doesn't have that power so you'd be hard pressed to see any version of Superman on the big screen Time travel without any Mechanical or Magical aid.

This Superman was the weakest to ever to be released on screen, there's no way this weakling is not getting cooked by characters like Doomsday or Darkseid. Assuming he hit Guy Gardener in that building when he was asked to make a movie, Guy would have mopped the floor with him. There's absolutely no way Green Lantern who has watched Superman for 3 years and knows what he can do will challenge an angry Superman like that unless he didn't rate him.

Also you have to understand that Ultraman in this movie is not Superman's equal. He's a dumbed down version of Superman, Lex Luthor only said he's as stupid as Superman out of spite so beating him is no feat. Lex mentioning a few moves that have to be entered into a computer before sent to his brain is what enables this empty vessel to not only mop the floor with Superman but almost kill him Superman had to go back to get an ample dosage of the Sun only to get whooped again. Oh and if not for metamorpho, dude would have been swallowed whole by a black hole.

Corenswet is no way the weakest Superman iteration on screen when there was Brandon Routh, George Reeves, Dean Cain and Tyler Hoechlin from before Superman and Lois.
Tom Welling got stronger with time over 10 seasons.

Corenswet's Supes is not the weakest by any means, he is actually in the upper echelon with the few feats he has and there are definitely more coming.

This Superman was not weak either Blackmanta. Dude pulled himself out of a black hole. The only person that kicked his ass was Ultraman (his clone) and you know he was holding back cos whenever he finds out you can tank punches he ragdolls you. Did it against the Engineer, did it against Ultraman too.

You people can talk about the plot and story all you want but leave the power scaling out of it, there was nothing wrong with it, the portrayal was accurate.

You guys are even going too far with this. There's no way Lex Luthor would be able to give instructions in the middle of a fight between 2 Kryptonians (one by birth and the other by DNA) unless one was completely dumb and the other was Corenswet's Superman. Even if he was moving at Makkari's level, Lex wouldn't be able to see him coming and he would have broken Ultraman in under 60 seconds. You guys are talking about speed as if he faced an intergalactic being where he needed that kind of speed. This was supposed to be a regular day in the park and he was utterly dog walked, dragged across the ground and kicked in the nuts.

only character in the movie who kicks his ass is his equally strong clone, who was basically being fed counters to his (Supes) every move.

He wasn't having any problems with the Kaiju before the Justice Gang stepped in, he took down the Engineer while simultaneously fending off Ultraman, he flattened the Raptors with no problem and he made short work of Ultraman once he was no longer being fed counters to his every move.

He escaped the pull of a black hole.

Only issue I have with his version is his reaction speed which wasnt portrayed as well as Cavill's Supes. I'm sure in other appearances he'll rack up more feats too.

Ultraman was a dumbed down version of him and he was fed counter moves by a human whom Superman is 100,000x faster than. Nothing excuses the way Superman was handled in the beginning. He wasn't having any problems with the Kaiju because the Kaiju had never grown that big before and it was confused, slow and it's only fire power was literally fire which does nothing to Superman. You can hardly call beating that kind of creature a feat.

He wasn't fending off Ultraman in that field, don't stretch it. Ultraman was landing hits and when he beat the shit out of him The Engineer proceeded to suffocate him with nanites while he was on his knees and his flight out of earth was an escape mechanism. The Raptors weren't exactly clothed in Vibranium or anything like that, your idea of flattening them was just spraying them with heat vision. If he didn't do that at the end we would have questioned if he had heat vision. Do you really expect us to be impressed by that? Do you even know what a feat means?

He beat a brain dead version of himself and don't mention him getting out of that black hole without Metamorpho. Don't forget he was holding his baby so Metamorpho pulled with every strength he had. At least you have accepted his reaction speed is shit, maybe we are getting somewhere.
