Do we still take milk in Nigeria? Most of the things we take are just creamers and colouring that look like milk but isn't milk in actual fact. Federal government banned importation of milk now they can't guarantee our safety with the rubbish produced here.
I miss the peak milk of the nineties and early two thousands. Very creamy and rich but our ever spoiling government banned it for the nonsense produced at ogba ikeja.

People are out there to kill. I

I'm still recovering from fake custard I bought

I took one spoon after making it and it was tasting salty like they added detergent to it.

I turned on my tap to dispose the custard I made and it was foamy.

Humans are just wicked.

I'm recovering, and it's day 3.
What happened to you?

And why do you think it’s fake? Or is it a different product that you usually buy?

Not just cowbell milk.
Nearly all brands of "milk" being sold in Nigeria is fake!

Even the "real" ones (full cream) contain just a small % of real milk in them. They're mostly coconut extracts.

And some are absolutely not milk. They're Non-dairy products, sold and consumed as milk by most Nigerians.
That's why even the real cowbell changed their tag to our creamy goodness from our milk

Who buys cowbell these days huh

To be honest i can't remember when last i saw it displayed on shops.
Another Question is: can NAFDAC tell the public why the milk is fake?
Or they want to be in the new’s as working effectively? Let them start by checking those products being sold in traffic.

Is Cowbell itself not a fake milk?
Re: Fake Cowbell Milk In Circulation - NAFDAC Raises Alarm by Yankee101: 11:22pm On Aug 22, 2025
There are fake versions of almost every major product circulating around
From soft drinks to malaria drugs to alcohol
Try to buy from reputable stores only
It’s part of the reason Nigeria has a sharp Christ in kidney failure diagnosis

What makes the milk fake is my concern? Or do they mean it was repackaged into cowbell sachets? That is criminal and robbing the company profits from its real product

The sad thing is if the markets where these fake and harmful products are distributed wholesale are shut down, the traders (perpetrators) would turn it into a tribal conflict. Traders that should ordinarily be sent to jail will still have mouth to cry out like victims.

I am not surprised, NAFDAC is complicit in all this too, we've been eating fake products for years now and nothing was ever done, all our food stuffs are practically GMOED for years , people getting sick, kidneys, liver problems, cancer, premature death, many in ICU for food related sicknesses. May Madam Dora Akunyili's soul rest in peace.
Re: Fake Cowbell Milk In Circulation - NAFDAC Raises Alarm by EDGEof2MORO: 1:40am On Aug 23, 2025

This is a serious disaster looming....I suggest a recall of all Products producer between January till date from the market with an aim of rebranding. Also a robust advertisement to help with image. This will curtail looming food disaster.
