Do you know majority of England national team qualifying and friendly matches bonuses goes to charity. They most don't send those bonuses but the pride in wearing the Three lion shirt. But our entitled players thinks they're doing us a favor |

Dijita:Taribo is an ingrate. He doesn't use his money well. National hero your foot. Yes they heroes which brings prominence to them in international scene making most of them to play in foreign clubs He will also ask why clubs he played didn't show up or help him during his retirement stage. Let me be frank, in all over the world it is individual that plans his retirement not government or employer. Plan your retirement by setting funds aside and developing yourself to survive outside football pitch. The fact is that most of them lack financial literacy and they won't pay professional to advice them |

johnmartus:Listen to shameful and spiteful vituperation from someone who's family has no legacy in their home town. I am almost certain that you haven't done anything meaningful for yourself in life not to talk of the nation at large. What nonsense opportunities are you talking about here? Know this and know the truth; Nigeria didn't make them great but through determination, gift/talent, personal training, hardship, no family support or approval, sweat and blood above all unflinching patriotism they made Nigeria great and registered our name among the high ranking footballing nations in the world. What did Nigeria paid them back with?.... Answer me..... Not even a befitting burial..... ! Compare the lives of these patriots with the politicians and settle the scores by yourself. |

It's so cruel to have a country govern by people who doesn't care about people's loyalty, spirit and patriotism. They pay themselves pension after leaving the office and yet one person can be paid for his life time since he participated in politics but not those who laid their lives for the country e.g Soldiers (recruits), athletes, civil servants etc. Who do we offend in this country? To the Living and the Past Heroes We appreciate you all Rest on STEPHEN KESHI, RASHEED YEKINI, PEYER RUFAI, THOMPSON OLIHA, SAMUEL OPARAJI, etc There are some of our HEROES that are alive but walking dead. Help them |

Most of the people here are talking nonsense because they are children. Stephen Keshi and this man set paid for Osimhen and Lookman. Jayjay, Okocha, and Ikpeba all tried small. Jayjay did not play for Real Madrid because he was offered peanuts. I believe Weah simply closed his eyes to the opportunity he had from Milan and played with his heart to become the world's best player. However, these small boys believe that these men are very similar to today's boys. Nope. Yes, they made money, let us not kid ourselves, but they also have extremely high expectations. DodoMayama had a failed marriage to a Belgian woman, so I understand how he could have lost money. Then DodoMayama returned to use his money to run an academy that trains goalkeepers and players. He even turned down an offer from the NFF because he knew they would owe him money. They are owing him till date oooo. How can you trust an employer who owes you money to offer you a new job? That's not wise. So, if you blame him for rejecting the Nff offer, you are missing the point. In addition, Dodomayana was owed by his clubs. I once read that he took some up legally. But he is an African. They treated them not so well. Finally, he died from a long-term disease that they did not specify. I am not sure what caused his death, but a kidney problem requiring dialysis can only be survived if you have a good international health plan. No matter how wealthy you are, you will die in Nigeria. You will waste all of your resources. No one knew about his health problem until he died, so he paid for everything. And for him to have kept it up for so long before dying indicates that he had overspent. So having a backup plan, such as becoming a citizen of a country with good health care, is a wise decision. If DodoMayama had not had a problem with his Belgian wife, he would have been like Oliseh. He could have easily treated himself rather than wasting his money on a long-term illness. And, for your information, he went to university after his playing career. Who paid for it? DodOMayana himself. DodoMayana never asked the people of NFF for anything, but he could not just save money for his burial, so his family began contacting the government. I believe he would have preferred a silent burial to prevent this issue from becoming public. DodoMayana is, in my opinion, the best thing that has happened to the Nigerian Post. In my opinion, he outperformed Vicent Enyeama. He was our next number 1 after the Best Ogedengbe era ended. This man gave everything to Nigeria. He had a run with a very good goalkeeper and got his number from him. If you know how good Willy Agbonavnbare was in his day, you will understand why Rufai was regarded as extremely good, and why he occupied the number one position. When Rufai is on the post, just forget it....nothing dey enter easily. However, he made the mistake of replacing (I believe Dosu Jospeh, if I am not mistaken) in one of our World Cup matches. He had already reached his retirement age. He was not even his number one goalkeeper at the time because he was already planning to become a goalkeeper coach. And boom ....our first goal keeper got injured. Who did they run to? DodoMayama. I was like, "Why?" Well, he did his best, but that team was nothing to write home about. The defence sef exposed him, letting us know that DodoMayama was not the same person as the old Rufai, who still kept things together. That was the first time I noticed Peter shouting so loudly at his defenders. He was shouting so much during their matches. Those who know this man regard him with respect. Goodbye, DodoMayana. You were the best during your time. He was a reliable goalkeeper. |

LIFE IS FULL OF ASSUMPTIONS All the 3 sides to every arguments including this one are loaded in assumptions built mainly on what are SEEN, READ, or WRITTEN when the actors here were "popular" or "flourishing." LESSONS FOR ME: 1) DISAPPOINTMENTS are bound to come to us if our hope is on ANY HUMAN or ORGANISATION or GOVERNMENT. 2) EFFORTS must be made to be financially educated and investment-oriented in your days of "popularity" or "flourishing." Buy lands, build houses, make efforts to impact lives personally and professionally. 3) KNOW THAT REWARDS/APPRECIATION/HELP would only come from one per cent or even less of all those people whom you have ever helped. IF it's more, thank God. Genesis 8:22 KJV While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. |
