So let's say he was sponsored by his father from year one and in the last 2 years.... His dad who no longer works is finding it difficult to support him.... Does it now make sense for him to thank NELFUND for helping him complete his studies?? Yes I guess it makes sense

Are you minding these people. Jokers everywhere. Instead of people demanding accountable governance, they are praising loans. grin
But if u go abroad... U begin to praise their governments for providing things like student loans to help the people abi?

The real sadist is you celebrating NELFUND when the net effect is harsh and evil.
Rest!

You are not making sense. Like I said, I understand your need to hate, it makes your life complete since you probably have nothing else working for you. But let others be grateful for what they have in peace.

Businesses suffer in harsh economies. Why do you think a lot of companies have folded up under this government?

Company closures are not peculiar to Nigeria; they are a global phenomenon. While some businesses fold up, new ones and fresh investments are simultaneously springing up, that’s the reality everywhere in the world. But unfortunately, some of you exaggerate these issues for political reasons.
Re: Engineering Graduate Thanks NELFUND As He Signs Out by koladata(m): 6:38pm On Aug 22, 2025
loan wey no reach 500k
TheGoodJoe:

I will manage a Buhari Economy without NELFUND any day.
Re: Engineering Graduate Thanks NELFUND As He Signs Out by cjfavour(m): 6:47pm On Aug 22, 2025
But if Tinubu y didn’t increase school fees there will not be any need for a loan not to talk of NELFUND.
erad:
So people can't start schooling and have financial issues in the middle again?

Do you know how many people who couldn't finish school because the breadwinner died when they were in their finals or 3rd year?

Omo, I don't understand how you people think o. Just because you want to hate on something, you throw away your sense of reasoning.

So what of the father that perhaps started and continued up to year two according to you? Doesn't he deserves some accolades too?
Forget he just want to score political goal.
Meanwhile who knows if it's because of the 200% increase of school fees occasioned by Tinubu policies that made the father not to continue?

What about the growth of multidimensional poverty under this government?

PMB's economy that was selling crude in advance to pay subsidy and subsidise Naira? you definitely don't know what you're saying.Baba Buhari tried his best and he did well in some aspects but he should have taken some decisions when it ought to have been. If Tinubu had not implemented subsidy removal, probably we would have sold out crude oil upfront till 2032 and use the proceed to take care of the present. Is that the type of economy you want us to continue with?

nedekid:
Fair enough, where is the money from removing all the subsidy? We use to pay eg N10 per kwh, today we are paying N209. We use to buy petrol for 145, now it is 890, students in federal and state universities now pay fees in hundreds of thousands.
The question still stands, where is the trillions we were told we will save from the subsidy removal. Where is the appreciation in value of the naira as dangote refinary is now working, shebi they said it will ease pressure on our foreign exchange due to dangote fuel replacing imported one.
Oh, I forgot, they are spendind the trillions on coastal road, on 37b renovation of ICC Abuja etc.

I will take Buhari's economy any day over this Subsidy removal scam.

Bros, today I went with my kids to ikeja, we decided to stop by shopright as we had not been there for sometime. Omo, my jor dropped, have any of you guys been there lately? That place tells the tale of this economy under apc, buhari and how current oga at the top finally rubbed the icing on the cake ie the "finish him" move. That section we use to buy steak, sausages ie the butchery all gone, shelves that use to be full all empty. The bakery deserted, infact we left without buying anything, at the door the security lady asked if we did not help them buy something, security before that will harass you for receipt now pleading for us to buy, maybe so they will see salary.
We entered iPhone shop, 16 promax 3m+, the cheapest one was my daughters type ie 13 for 900k+.
Samsung store nko, phone of 3m, money we use to use to buy brand new car 10-12 years ago before this apc charlatans seized power.
Oga what hit me the most was the cherry motors stand, one small car had price of 45m, the other 75m! 10 years ago even to see a house worth 45m you had to go to lekki and na mansion, now you talk of a Chinese entry level car for 45m? At our level and age in life anywhere in the world if this country had its act together, we should be riding at least a S class Mercedes or BMW 7 series, not the one one is looking at Chinese car that we still cannot afford.
My point is that these people talk of reserves being the highest, they talk of how well they are doing, but the reality is they have plunged we ordinary Nigerians into deep poverty, destroyed our purchasing power to the extent even if you earn 2m monthly you cannot buy the cheapest brand new car. Even if you earn 1m monthly you cannot afford to buy a 22 year old 2003 camry big daddy that sells for 7.5-8m. Is this not weaponised poverty on a mass scale?
Where is the trillions from subsidy removal, why has naira not appreciated to store up our purchasing power?
What baffles me is those on this forum that have not fed 3 square meals today, those who will never know the smell of driving a brand new car in their lifetimes are the ones singing the praise of the current misfits.
Just see the economy you want us to clap for.

That is the mistake you guys always make, you find excuses to tolerate corruption and inefficiency. The country did not need to sell crude in advance, neither did it need subsidy or even if it needed some, it could pay, afterall countries around the world subsidise one way or the other on critical issues. Abi US and UK were not subsidising purchases of EV vehicles? Were they not subsidising farmers? If I remember right there was what was called cash for conkers, where government pays you to scrap your old vehicles for newer more efficient ones in the UK.
Most of the subsidy was scam, are we not of recent hearing of the trillions a former cbn governor chopped, a man that was building 700 unit housing estate, his own personal city. Have you not heard of one tunde, a young man said to be selling recharge card before his uncle became oga, amasing so much money even his fellow crook the cbn oga had to raise alarm to the young man that his own was too much, people will know. Rumors had it then that the guy had 1.5tillion in just one account, it was too much they had to create a special account for him. Did you not hear of the aviation minister and air Nigeria, of the billions chopped yet no airline, so tay they had to hire and paint one plane to show?
Oga look at Lagos State, it is on record ambode added no debt through loans yet look at the major infrastructure eg Oshodi interchange etc he did, streetlights all over powered by generators burning diesel yet money was enough without debt. Others came before him including oga at the top, now after him more debt.
I once knew and aide to mid level official in one of the poorest States in the southwest, this guy once showed me his account balance in excess of 1.2b, apparently his oga was using his accounts to hide money, the guy said that was just 1 account and there was many more. Meanwhile that was a state they said no money to pay workers. Have you not heard of the guy that paid school fees in advance all in dollars?
Oga Nigerians do not deserve to suffer this much, no money this and that, we must remove it to stabilise naira yet there was money to buy a 300 seater airliner, the type airfrance uses to fly Passangers to Lagos not for Nigeria Airways but for presidential jet.

Political NELFUND robbing other regions in the name of student loans, let check region by region which region benefited the most from this sentiment,EFCC supporting NELFUND with recovered loots from different states instead of returning same to states these funds were looted,NELFUND now serves as conduits for using looted funds to fund ethnocentric NELFUND.
Re: Engineering Graduate Thanks NELFUND As He Signs Out by Babatundehy: 8:47am On Aug 23, 2025
This is one of the very few doings of president Tinubu that I actually love, the need for Education cannot be overemphasized, we see what the least educated region has become, they are the most fertile, making kids faster than rabbits, quick to kill over mundane differences like religion, applaud governor for conducting and funding mass weddings when beggar kids fill the streets, this isn't animality, it is a result of lack of education and the brain being in a constant state of inactivity due to opioids sprinkled upon it by Religion and a culture of backwardness.
To be free and aware, a man must be educated, and financial difficulties shouldn't make that impossible, an educated community is a clean community, a safe community, a peaceful nation overall, where people are capable of reasoning, it is the only thing that'll overcome tribalism, religious differences, and even language, Tinubu has done this, and it is only right.
