Truly inspiring. Been messing with the idea for a while now but the idea of moving to a rural area just scares me as I've lived in the city all my life. |

There are different types of pesticide an each of them has it own purpose. U need to get the right pesticide. Speaking from my experience. Also what the pumpkin seed? quote author=safarifarms post=136551441] Commercial cucumber farming goes along with regular applications of pesticides and fungicides. But there are diseases that defy fumigation like viral diseases. The major issue with the disease that spots the fruit is that I couldn't identify it neither have I found anyone able to do so.[/quote] |

nesgeeek:What appeared on the cucumber is a disease that I don't think is caused directly by a pest. I'd asked those who are more experienced than me and they couldn't correctly identify it. Some outrightly said they've never seen such before. However, I did use all the classes of pesticides recommended by the seed coy according to the alternation indicated, so I don't think its a matter of not using the right pesticide. I even also used neem oil which is not mentioned and it was very effective for white fly and another stubborn pest that I can't remember the name now. |

adeniyi65:It's nairaland restriction on the number of pictures I can upload that is frustrating me. I plan to continue updating my farming journey on this thread as I progress. But I still have backlog of pictures to upload but I can only upload a few per day. |

EpicDude123:I've just tried but nairaland won't attach it. I will still try again later. I still have pictures of other fruit trees I planted which I wish to upload. I'll upload as nairaland allows me to. Modified: @EpicDude123 Picture finally attached. This is the bigger one.

I have a few plantain and banana stands. Most of the plantains and banana's are not doing doing so well and I believe it's due to termite infestation. The land location is heavily infested with termites. 1. Plantain nursing experiment 2. The poor growing plantains 3. Banana. I think this is the scandivish dwarf (Not so sure).

Waterleaves & pineapple. I once had about 100 stands of pineapple but I've cleared of some to start afresh with ones that don't have much spikes. 1. Some pineapples with a citrus plant that was transplanted about a month ago.(not sure which one is that) 2. A wild pineapple that one adhoc worker got from a bush and planted the sucker on the farm. I've since removed the nonsense pineapple. 3 & 4. Waterleaves Picture upload quota exhausted again.

medexico:It's a serious problem. My 1st worker was a thief. I didn't notice any theft with the next 2. The current guy I have is also stealing (He'll soon be replaced). |

1 to 3 are 3 of the 5 avocado stands on the farm. No. 4 is a strange mushroom I saw in the bush behind my farm. Has anyone seen such before?

I have different kinds of citrus plants. I may not be able to identify some of them now. But I know I have orange, tangelo, lime, grape etc. Some were just planted this year 2025. 3rd picture is that of a grafted citrus that will bear 2 kinds of citrus fruits. Bitter leave plant is in front of it.
